What a bunch of nonsense, I called bullshit on you guys trashing Harley when he is a good guy in a bad deal. I have had you guys try to make my words into something they are not. I suggested you contact professional organizations to deal with the situation and when I get a chance I will look further into this. I never stated anyone should be happy about this situation, I stated that Harley had been in the game long enough to earn some dignity while he gets through this situation.

As far as comparing him and this situation to Mick Strider and Duane Dwyer, it just reveals the education and quality of the commentator. This entire situation could have been handled in a professional way, instead its just another forum ambush. You guys make sure to turn off the lights and water when you exit your virtual hair stylen parlor.

First of all, attacking the person in a virtual argument is a hallmark of a man with no legs to stand on. From what I've seen, until now you've always conducted yourself better than that in the GB&U.

It is not about a direct comparison of Harley and Strider Knives, that only came up because of the night and day differences between your postings here and there. It is about one simple thing, unethical behavior is unethical behavior and either honesty and integrity mean something or they do not, regardless of whom the thread happens to be about. Your friend is active on the internet, he has made an appearance in this thread. For some of the complainants, it is the only comms they have had from LH in years.

We all can empathize with the medical issues, but they do not entitle him to hold customers money and knives for years and make the occasional comment about the free knives he'll eventually have to make for them.

That is bullshit, in its purest form. And I believe you know it.

In situations just as this specific thread highlights the only difference between those you slammed and Harley in the honor/integrity category is the spelling of their names.

hair dryers aside, I did graduate third grade and thats all the education one needs to see your friend's dishonor in his recent dealings................

No one here cares if you "Look into it". Its up to LH to do the right thing, and I can't imagine anyone with your lack of common sense or diplomacy having any sway in what he might do. You remind me of one of those little ankle bitin', yippy dogs trying to bother the working critters.

It appears the "man" as you call him admits to being a theif in the first sentance of this EXCUSE.:thumbdn:

So he took money to keep his piss-poor business from going under all the while not having any real expectations of delivering products to the folks he was "taking" money from.

The way this reads to me:

I stole money from folks to save my ass.
I like to bitch and complain about my personal problems.
I stole more money from folks and now owe them a "free" knife.
More bitching about personal problems.

This whole post from your friend was not an apology or public intent to do the right thing, it was more of a pitty party aimed at getting more people to fall for his BS.

You keep calling him a man... A man, a REAL man would own up to what he has done here and sell his house and all his tools to payback all the fine folks he has stolen from.

That's pretty much how I read it, too. He's a thief, plain and simple. I don't care if he pays this one guy back. He's still a thief. He says he took money knowing he couldn't complete the work. That's theft. And, this is one guy we're hearing from... Harley himself makes it sound like he took multiple deposits/payments from people during that time. How many other people are there that got ripped off, but don't happen to post on BF? Let's face it... it's probably a fair amount. And, I doubt they (or our fellow BF member) ever gets repaid.

The guy is a crook.. straight up.

In all fairness, I think it's an older video. The guy posted that video in Sept. 2009, so it's probably somewhat older than that. It's not current, is what I'm saying. I still think he's a crook, though.
 
Wow. Glad I stumbled on this thread as I was considering ordering a knife from this guy. I just went to his website to see if there was any mention of a backlog or any mention of not taking orders at this time. Nope, but this quote was at the end of the about me section.....



My time now is spent trying to develop one of a kind Damascus patterns and turning that into a one of a kind knife.

I can't believe my stupidity! I ordered a battle bowie some time ago and did actually receive it. I was showing one of my mates, who was thinking of getting one, and he noticed the grind was all wrong. I looked in disbelief and he was right! I contacted Larry and he was shocked also.
After some deliberation I decided to order another one. Larry assured me this one would be fine, no prob's! I sent the money and no knife.
Here I am now, on this forum, trying to make sense of what few emails I did receive about the promise of a perfect battle bowie. I have still got all the correspondance and reflect on them at times to remind me of what an idiot I was to get my hopes up thanks to Mr. Harley!

Howdy BB. I'm a little confused. Did you send the "Bad" Battle Bowie in for replacement or just order another. Or both?
