I'm going to ask him about it when I can. What I don't like is seeing him compared to some of the scum bags that have came here to the forum with the single purpose of ripping people off.

Yes, I will personally look into this. I'm as busy as as a hive of bees in spring but I can make a couple calls, no time line. I should be seeing Larry in February too, for sure in the spring.
Mr Bubbanumber1:
If you are indeed so concerned for your friends' rep , why haven't you already called him ?
I agree it sucks majorly that Larry was stricken with Cancer , it is not something that is easily recovered from. I can't condone what he did by continuing to except $$$ when he knew he wouldn't be able to make the knives , although I can see for him it was mere survival at that time.
He did what he had to , while it sure wasn't right , he was able to survive because of it (
and I hope his health continues to improve every moment of every day ).
Now it is time to make things right , some type of communication is better than nothing.
Like you , I hate to see a man's solid image be tarnished by a bad turn of events , cancer wasn't in his control , continuing to accept $$$ was.
Maybe you could give him a shout and voice your concerns to him , let him know , the knife community understands this life changing disease has impacted him and set him back a good ways , people just want to know where they stand in getting what is owed.
While he may not be a true thief , when you take someones cash (or goods) and don't return product and don't even communicate with them as to what / when items will be delivered , that makes it appear to be theft.
