there is something I want to put right:

1. the knife was not put into sheath, just bubble paper, and the sheath is put aside, not like you said knife in sheath, that is why the knife broke the bubble paper,broke the box and get the tip damaged.
that is what I said unproper package.
I want to ask ,Is it even packed by yourself?
I belive anyone knowing about the value of the knife ,would not packed like that.
suck pointy knife, just bubble paper in paper box, how could you expect it not broke the box out.
and most strange thing, why not use the sheath protect the knife,just put the sheath aside.
If the knife put in sheath, there will not be any issues.

2. there is no repackage. I get it with your package,and I am the only one open it.
the box is broken by the tip of the knife,other part of the box is fine.
by the way,I do have the box photos. will attached below.

3. I contact you first before go to paypal.
the first email you replied, ask me ship it back to you ,and you would send to Crowell and fixed it.
I think it is acceptable.
when I try to send it back, you send me the second email suspecting me about my hoest, asking me contact knifemaker myself.
That is unacceptable for me. So I went paypal protect.

I take hundreds knives here in BF, and deal with several custom knife collector and dealers in US,.
never issued with someone,also never seen someone pack custom knife like this.
and it is the first time I return knife back.

? could it have been opened and re-packed by customs
?Also did your proxy report the tip sticking out when they received it
Not to mention it should never have been going to China in the 1st place

I sent this to PP this morning telling them this again. No response yet. It took three supervisors over the phone to decide in my favor the other day.

This package was received fully insured to his address in NH and repackaged and shipped to
The buyer in China without my knowledge. I thought the buyer lived at the address in NH.
He waited three weeks to contact me about the damage. If the item was damaged when received in
NH, I should have been notified immediately. I have no control when someone damages an item and ships
It to a third party. I feel that by shipping to a middle man, I was lied to. Pay Pal should also be concerned
That the buyer is using a middle man and having them repack items to send to another country.
I think this is fraud by obtaining items under false pretenses.

Just to add that if it were a simple matter of the item being damaged when en route to the paypal address you would have refunded the money and pursued the insurance to have yourself reimbursed. The fact that it is coming back to you not from the paypal address but from another country is a major concern. Also proof. They should need proof that the item was damaged while shipping to the paypal address. Packaging! You would need such proof in an insurance claim. Paypal should also want to see such proof.
 
LIN, Would you please address the matter of you using a proxy in New Hampshire,who then sent the knife to you in China without the knowledge of the seller.
 
Like I said, it is he said, she said. You never sent me pictures of the box. I offered to help anyway because the knife is no good to anybody since the tip is damaged. Why did you wait well over two weeks to tell me the knife was damaged??????
Any reasonable person inspects the box and if it is damaged, they take pics before opening the box.
The knife was only good to keep if I send you $608.00?????
This could have been resolved in a week. Either refund could have sent or I could have sent the knife to be fixed. You never responded to my e mail to answer questions of to help.
The offer is still good. I am a man of my word.
 
LIN, Bobby's responsibility ended when the knife reached its U.S. destination. If you are unable to prove its condition when it reached the U.S. address, then it is simply your problem. How did it get shipped from U.S. address to China address? Do you have a friend that forwards the packages to you? If you do and they did not notice damage to the package and notify you maybe it's because there was no damage to the package at that point.
Did customs open it and inspect, then send it on its way? Who cares? That wasn't part of the deal.
Prove it was damaged when it arrived at its U.S. address or drop the claim.
 
Once that knife hit the paypal address the sellers obligation is fulfilled. Prove that it was sticking out of the box then.
 
He never sent me those pics he has now of a hole in the box or the one with the knife laying in the box.
That is why I did not ask for pics of the box. It would have been too easy to poke a hole in the box as he has done with these pics. If he wanted to show damage, he would have sent those instead of the pics he is posting now. I will post pics that he sent me trying to make his claim.
