LIN aka (KAI ZHAO) Issue resolved

LIN, Would you please address the matter of you using a proxy in New Hampshire, who then sent the knife to you in China without the knowledge of the seller.

^^^This is the key.

It absolves the OP of any responsibility. If it got to NH without an issue, the rest is "Lin's" Problem.

If PP is OK with using proxy's, the knife ending up broken at a different address than a seller ships to, then they need to hire some people who can use common sense when reviewing a "case"....

Sad.

I think Lin really needs to fill in these blanks, otherwise the only reason he's here (buying/selling) will no longer be of any service to him.
This is the way to fast track your rep. down the toilet.

This is what he is posting now. This could have been done today. That is why I did not ask for more pics. If these were done at that time, he would have sent them????????
If I was hiding anything, I would not post these. Too easy to shoot after the fact. This is the first I have seen of these. This makes me suspicious.
Plus no pics of the sheath that I sent it in ;-)

It's pretty sad when a seller here has to do his homework on potential buyers, but this is what can happen otherwise. :( :thumbdn:

And the fact that PayPal has done anything other than side with the seller in this case, with the evidence presented that the knife went to China before the claim was made, is pretty lousy IMO. :thumbdn: :grumpy:

Agreed!!! LIN sure isn't presenting his case here very well. I just hope that you actually get the knife back, and not a box of dirt, or worse!

If a knife got to the paypal US address sticking out of the box with a broken tip there should be pictures. If there are no pictures of said box with the US only address on the box then it didn't happen. This whole thing stinks like hot fishy garbage.

Looks like someone tried to make a hole and the realized it has to come from the inside out, so they got it "right" on the second try......

Just bad.

The larger hole is actually from the outside of the box and in, if I am looking at the box correctly...

Also what postal worker would take it for shipment to China with tip sticking out of box
I think what ever problem it may have had happened after arriving at the US address

LIN, Bobby's responsibility ended when the knife reached its U.S. destination. If you are unable to prove its condition when it reached the U.S. address, then it is simply your problem. How did it get shipped from U.S. address to China address? Do you have a friend that forwards the packages to you? If you do and they did not notice damage to the package and notify you maybe it's because there was no damage to the package at that point.
Did customs open it and inspect, then send it on its way? Who cares? That wasn't part of the deal.
Prove it was damaged when it arrived at its U.S. address or drop the claim.

LIN, it doesn't get much more shady then this.
Dude you had it shipped to a US address. Game over right there. Whatever happened after that is on you.
You don't do this :
Oh, let me us PayPal to rip the seller off when YOU KNOW your at fault. That's a scumbag move 🖕

Exactly. How paypal can't see the glaring issues here is beyond me....

I do not always in US, working between US and China.
And my man received the package for me during I was work at China, keeping it unopened
when I back open the box and find this, email Bobby about the staff.

first email replied, sending back to him,and he ask knifemaker to fixed, was acceptable for me.
but following email, asking me solve the problem myself with knifemaker , suspect with my honest and taking him all out of the responsebility , is not work for me.
I have to go Paypal.
during this I take all the knives which bought from BF back to China, with the problem unsolved, I can not leave it to others, I take it with me.
it is not easy take knife in or out China, I think ask partly refund is more convience, since Bobby ask return, I try to ship it out.
Now it is on the way back to Bobby.

I was only asking you send the knife to him so he could fix it. I would have set it up so that he would fix it and send it straight to you.
It is not illegal to ask questions in this country. At least, not yet :-)
You have to ask questions to find answers. Communication is key to any transaction. This is no different. I think it is a culture difference.

all I do,is just want to slove the problem.

If you wanted to solve the problem you would have shipped the knife back immediately from the paypal address. You would have taken photos of the box with the shipping label. What you would not have done is expect this problem to be resolved satisfactorily here from China. We have already seen where you have not been honest about where an item is going. This is no different. Paypal may side with you but your reputation here is ruined.

That's funny the cheating fool can't even make the hole right LOL.

There actually appears to be TWO holes in that box - the one o the left came from OUTSIDE the box and the one on the right is an INSIDE puncture.

There is no way on God's green earth that a knife in shipment can puncture a box from both inside and outside the box. This is nothing more than a SCAM on the part of LIN and his proxy. Someone screwed up and damn sure wasn't Mr. Branton.

LIN is on my "Do not sell to under any circumstances list". I probably wouldn't ever have anything he'd buy, but he's on my very short "DO NOT SELL TO" list. Permanently.

So the knife never left the US?

Nobody noticed the tip of the knife sticking out of the box?
Not your "man" ?
Not USPS?

For me, if something seems wrong it usually is.
I doubt we will get anything tangible out of this, except that if you buy something, you need to tell the seller where you are if it's not where you should be, or who the knife is being shipped to, or that you are using a proxy....give the seller a chance to make a decision on whether they want to take these risks....

Here is where your story becomes really suspicious. You found the damage to the knife while you were here in the USA and opened it? But you took the knife home to China anyway?

Sorry, but that does NOT look good for you! :foot: It looks really suspicious, like maybe you broke the tip off the knife after getting back to China, and tried to con Bobby into fixing it for you. :thumbdn:

What you need to do at this point is DROP THE PAYPAL CLAIM, as Bobby seems to be bending over backwards to make this right for you.

Bobby did NOT ask you to take it up with the knifemaker, but suggested that instead, it might be faster and easier for you to ship it straight to him to be fixed. He was TRYING TO HELP YOU!

After an exhausting read.
Mr Branton did his part.
I see he also was willing to fix the issue..
Unless I missed something somewhere.

These are one of the stipulations I make crystal clear in my
sales threads..In private communications.
Lay everything out. Communication is key
If an issue arises..Lets work it out.

If you took receipt of knife. and then inturn took it out of USA
Thats your baby now in my eyes..
I know folks dont like issues like this blowing up.
But man..Not looking good for the buyer right now...

Thinking going to PayPal without giving some communication
and a possible resolve a bit of time was ""JUMPING THE GUN"" wouldnt you say LIN?

Its issues just like this that have buyers/sellers added to IGNORE LISTS

Hoping there comes some good of this Mr Branton.
It is a true stomach sinking feeling when deals head south
like this..:barf:
