Thanks for that, I just updated that particular thread and took the paypal out. I don't take paypal here anymore.

Shame, not many people will want to pay with money orders.
 
After reading all of the posts here i can see that kang not only breaks the TOS with paypal but he is also a lier and does not care if he pockets money for services that are for payed for and then not provided and then when he's called on it he puts it over to the buyer and then he trys to sell used as new wow,

Where i come from that not only makes him a lier but also a thief and a lowlife scumbag with no morals

In case some of you have not figured it out, his paypal accepting went away right around the time this was announced, "PayPal Must Report Earnings to IRS in 2011"

I have had dealings with Deric and hes always been stand up with me. The solution to this situation is quite simple as many have stated in this thread, this will be the most expensive $11.00 that Liu Kang has ever spent, or not spent in this case. While LK dances around the problem with misplaced sarcasm he is alienating all his potential customers, at least on this forum. When I see LK's threads I just move on now, I used to browse through them but that is no longer the case, I can't imagine how rare a knife would have to be for me to want to purchase anything from the guy.

And thanks for the endorsement. Had I did what you did to me, I would of sent you that $11+ a little extra for a sorry/beer. No questions asked.
 
O wait, Eric sells Busse knives too... So I'm his competition. He does what I do only he is not green, he doesn't want to support BF. He wouldn't be going around saying bad things about me so he could sell more knives could he? Well, I do sell more and I do have higher feedback....

Liu Kang, you will never receive business from me and you can bet money you will receive only links to this thread when people ask if your trust worthy. Your ethics are sad, and for $11 you'd rather undo a $720 deal out of what? You say you'd taken care of the knife had there been any issues with it, thus you earned the $11.The problem is that is more then likely illegal in the USA, can you show us your permits that state you may act as an insurer for up to $1,000 or more like USPS has? How about proof that you can cover such a loss being authenticated by a 3rd party Company to ensure your company is worth enough to cover losses? Do even have it in writting that you would cover that knife's loss? No you do NOT. You are NOT permitted to act as an insurer in the USA therefore you are NOT permitted to charge or keep money to act as such, please do your research before you find someone smart enough to sue you out of your home. Lastly your packaging would have void USPS's insurance.

I will happily do business with Deric, he understands the fairy in business whether that means taking a loss or a profit.
 
Those who practice unethical business eventually get found out and while they may have made a quick few bucks , in the long run no customers = no more money !!

Dan, tell me what bad things Ive said about you that are unsubstantiated, please, Im waiting.

I do what you do? I have and do sell knives from time to time, more less on ebay more than anything, but feel free to go check out how many knives I have up for sale on BF, and look at all them nice prices, on what, 5? One of which is the knife in question. Takin a loss on a few and others Ive sold at some of the lower prices then nearly anyone. The one time I unloaded a lot of stuff, I did upgrade to green for a month. Im not dealing on BF but if for any reason a mod disagrees, Ill upgrade to full dealer without argument.

I don't have a dog in the fight and honestly I don't know why I just read through all of this. Must be the extra coffee.

Not that anyone asked for it, but I'll give you my opinion on this entire situation. The man asked for insurance and insurance was not supplied. End of story. Everything else is irrelevant in the conversation. It doesn't matter if you say you would have covered the cost out of your own pocket. That's besides the point. Was the package exactly as the buyer requested. No. So make it right.

You two are both digging in to what you believe is right. But at the end of the day, all you really have is the root cause. In the case the root cause is the insurance cost. Fix that and it all goes away.
 
If you pay for something you should get it, the man payed to have his item insured by the people who deliver it he did not get that he should get his 11.80 back.

So, no one made you change your title? Seems from all I've read you skated around being called a dealer for as long as you could...

And when u charge the type of premiums you do you'd expect great service, not a bunch of whining, backpedaling and accusations on the buyer.

Even if this were true, shouldn't Eric get to lie about his dealer status for a year or three before being forced into paying for the appropriate membership level via moderator intervention?

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

It's kind of funny because I've been around long enough to remember LK. In fact he's the only seller on bladeforums whose user name I actually remember. I've browsed the Bussekin for sale forums for quite some time and LK's always the guy I associated with having tons of Busse knives for sale.

That was by no means an endorsement.
 
I don't know why anyone is complaining about his prices or PayPal fees.
If you don't like the price don't buy it! Simple as that.
Although I have never purchased a knife from him if LK has a knife I want for a price I am willing to pay I will probably buy it.
