Need to lose some weight....who's with me?

I weigh in every Saturday morning before eating. I try to keep time, activities before as constant as possible.

So I'm curious here, when are you weighing yourselves? How do you prepare for it? I seem to fluctuate a lot over a few days.

I used to weigh myself in the mornings before eating or drinking anything and after my toilet duties thinking it's a good time, but even then I see myself swinging between 192 and 198 from day to day.

I think I remember reading something somewhere that said that when you wake up is the best time to weight yourself, I'm not sure if that's true or now. I typically weigh myself when I'm at the gym after work. I try to weigh myself around the same time, I'm not really sure if it matters or not. Once I week for posterity, I try not to focus on the number so much as visible results as I know that muscle mass weighs more than fat. It is nice to see the number getting smaller and smaller though.

Down to 236, from 241. Had some family gatherings I went to where food is tough to turn away. Progress nonetheless!

I'll admit, with this hell of a winter and work wearing me out, I can't tell you the last time I weighed myself :o

I just want to thank Eric again for starting this thread, and all of the participants and cheer leaders that keep it going.

I'm happy I clicked on it!

It's good to know that you're not alone in the battle against the bulge. This tread was a great idea! Keep checking in everyone, and keep up the great work

I bought new running shoes this weekend and tried them out last night. Lately, I had been suffering from some serious shin splints due to the lack of support in my shoes. It was really difficult to push myself through the pain. Last night I had zero pain and I even ran twice as long as I normally do. It was so wonderful! It's amazing what a good pair of shoes can do.

You can add me in there Eric. Long term- 50#, 25#for BLADE.
My blood pressure is ridiculous and my clothes don't fit, I am probably at my heaviest.
I'll weigh myself after work for the record.
For the record; 233#

218 today! 15 lbs woohoo!

Went to the VA today for a neurology appointment and I've lost 10 pounds in the last month! I don't have a scale, but they weigh me at every appointment I have.

I celebrated by having a bacon cheeseburger and a candy bar... D'oh!

Do 20 minutes at level 5 speed 40 to 45 on a treadmill. Weights for 20 minutes, then insanity exercises with 30 second intervals of 9 level at 80 to 90 speed. Do that 5 times. Insanity exercises include core exercises. Do this three times or four times a week. Key is what you eat. All the above exercise will not work if you don't eat less. Soups and salads in lunch or dinner are key.

Eating less is a big part of weight loss. I'm finding that the less I eat, the smaller my appetite is when I do sit down to eat. Tonight, I ate way too much for dinner and was surprised with a "food baby" popping out of my abdomen. That was quite possibly the most painful thing I've had to endure so far this year. I definitely won't be doing that again. OUCH!

I honestly thought I was going to be gaining weight this week.

Every week I allow myself one meal, usually Saturday, to eat whatever. I broke down during five different meals this week and just gorged.

Even losing two pounds, I still still need to get a hold on that.

Way to go Eric and all! I reading some good results.
