When i first log onto BF, i get the usual list of the recent threads. But now i cant see in which forum they were posted. For example i have no interest in reading the political threads, it would be nice to see which ones are those.

By the way, the new upload manager is real nice ! Abit crowded, but thats just a matter of habit.

ETA: I see attached pics as a small icon, instead of a thumbnail. The thumbnails are best, especially when there are more than one.

Kevin, the larger thread titles you implemented (in the Large Print style) a good thing. I think its coming together well. I also like the iTrader ratings shown in the Exchange. Keeps me from having to investigate a seller's rating before buying.

To my eyeballs, the print is easier to view with the light blue background currently shown in the "quick reply" box as opposed to a white background. If you can eventually implement some color options/skins sometime down the road, that would be groovy. I know you have bigger fish to fry at the moment. I'm happy with things, though.

The very bright colors are hard on the eyes but the format I am getting used to from another forum I frequent that has made the same switch. Is there a way you can implement a "light/dark" theme with this forum also? I am certain it would be welcome.

Easy fix! If people want the text larger just hold down the ctrl button and scroll with the mouses scroll wheel until its the size you like.

When using my Android (1.6 :() to surf (vB4 default, not mobile), and trying to use the Quick Navigation towards the bottom of the page, it brings up a drop-down menu that I can't scroll through. Previous version would bring up a pop-up that I could easily scroll up and down through. I don't know if this is the same as "Quicknav broken for iPad" listed under "Miscellaneous Problems", as I don't have a iPad/Phone/Pod.

+1 on the Dark Style as a viewing option. The current one can make you snow blind.

I believe that it is the same thing.

I already mentioned that, but there is a large print theme down the bottom...I like it, and I can see just fine lol.

In the spirit of offering specific suggestions, I would like to suggest that the font be changed to a serifed font such as Times, Century Schoolbook or the like. One of the basic rules of typography is that body text shouldn't be displayed in a san serif font because it's too hard to read for extended periods of time. Those of you who are bothered by the contrast issues are probably having that issue compounded by the font being used. I don't have bad vision but I'v had to resort to the large text option to comfortably read thread pages.

Another suggestion is to change the font color of of thread links to something harder and not so pastel. This will give an apparent brightness increase without having to adjust your monitor. That hard blue of the previous version was more contrasty than the more pastel blue-gray they show up in now.

Please give some serious thought to the font change suggestion--I think it would make a huge difference in readability.

Kevin,

Personally, I agree with this poster and the example he displayed works very well for me. But that's just me. Obviously some people like the bright background as Esav & Cougar do. You may want to get some more opinions in order get a feel for the general consensus.

I won't have a chance to play around with it until tonight but if there is a way to personalize the site I'll just go that route.

I must say, you did a hell of a job here in a very short time and it's already starting to grow on me. Like I said before, I think as people use the new site they'll get more and comfortable with it.

You are doing a bang up job. I've been to other sites that tried this and it was a total fiasco. One website I used to frequent basically turned into a ghost town after their switch.

I'm not sure. Serifs take up space. This looks crowded to me. But everyone has a different stylistic preference. This sample is Times New Roman in size 5 (TNR comes out smaller than most of the other fonts.)

Spark, looks like your working out the kinks,I know you cant please everyone, but is there anyway you can make it were the pictures posted in the forsale threads are large like the old vesion, these pics seem alot smaller than what they were before? Just asking, when i post i like for my buyers to see what there getting ,i shoot real closeups for detail so theres never any questions of what there gonna receive
Thanks for all you have done! Bests,Bill

Yup,or you can hold down ctrl & press +/- to make things bigger or smaller.

I hated it at first, but I'm already getting used to it.

Thanks for keeping everything up to date Spark

Even adding some color - like the quoted boxes make for an easier read. I'm going through artificial tears like crazy.

spark, can you get rid of the word "forum" that appears above the sub forum when you are looking at new posts?

example...
Forum: < get rid of the word forum: so all you only see the sub forum name
