New GEC #48 with Wharncliffe blade?

I have a Eureka Jack in that same Ivory Bone.

I love it. It is my most carried EDC.

I have one of these Trappers ordered in African Blackwood.

It may give the EJ a run for its money.

My thought exactly, especially with the autumn bone. Not to knock the good work that went into the fine 2012 of course; I just like this slimmer frame.
 
Anyone know when the autumn gold versions are shipping? Looks like pre-orders on those are already sold out...
 
Just ordered a Northfield in African blackwood. I could only find a couple left already. It will be my first knife with a Wharncliffe blade.
 
Mine rolled in yesterday and are rolling out tomorrow. African Blackwood and Autumn Gold didn't last long; and I ordered a lot because I love this pattern.

Autumn Gold Northfield shipped (thanks Mike!), I'm looking forward to having it in hand before the end of the week. I'm also feeling a little better about my decision to forgo the Case/Bose collaboration this year. As much as I like the pattern and look of the knife, I think the GEC will serve me better. That and maybe another Case mini Wharncliffe trapper to join my apple green bone one :D

Well, my Blackwood #48 is on its way too.

This pattern is the one I have been hoping would come out for several years.

I have always wanted a Wharncliffe Trapper, but I didn't want the Case because it was stainless, and I really didn't have the dollars for a custom.

This fits the bill pretty nice.

I love the Ivory Bone, and have a Eureka Jack in that configuration.

But that Blackwood just grabbed me when I saw it.

I suspect this Trapper and that Eureka Jack are going to be my most carried knives.

Mine arrived today, as did something else very special. Unfortunately it's too dark to get a decent pic, and I really want to get a photo of the other arrival.

Both arrivals are perfect!

Mine came today in the Ivory Bone. Super excited, haven't opened it yet. I'll let you guys know how it is.

What i'm really excited about is to see how the bone changes over time.
