New Information Needed on the 2016 Forum Knife!

Worm - yes
Long pull - sure, why not? (Doesn't really matter to me)
Carbon - yes

Thank you, for your efforts on this, Charlie.

A - fine by me.

B- kinda torn. I always prefer the look of long pulls, but a nick toward the tip of the blade makes it easier to open, leverage-wise. I'd like to have a knife with both. :)

C- Carbon!

A.) Love Worm Groove Jigging

B) Don't care either way, just so long as I can manage a pinch.

C) Carbon if we must, but I prefer stainless. (even though it gives Bill fits)

Carbon steel, long pull, and worm groove covers... sounds absolutely perfect. Count me in for at least 2!!!! I think a poll for the shield would be a good idea and will this be the first pattern by GEC to have worm groove covers?

A. Worm groove sounds great.

B. Definitely long pull.

C. Highly prefer carbon!

And as already stated but worth saying 1000 times more, thank you Charlie.

Money spent for jigging= money well spent! Long pull for sure, what about match strike??
I say carbon blade since we went stainless last year. It is also better for the punch as you mention:)

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!

I have mostly carbon knives now so would like the 440c but am ok either way.
I am happy to go with worm groove as something different.
Long pull is fine. No match strike.
I'm not a fan of the bar shield. I find it a bit plain and would prefer another.
For whatever it's worth since I missed the first poll, I am ok with either blade but would prefer the clip.
I use a punch/awl pretty often so am very much looking forward to this knife.
Thanks to Charlie for doing this and for taking so much time to engage the forum community.

I agree with the majority of posts so far. Your proposed knife sounds great and I would definitely prefer carbon.
I would also like to see a darker bone color. As for the shield I don't really have a preference. I have full faith that whatever you/ we choose to pin on them covers will look just fine.

Let's get jiggy with it ;)

That looks outstanding!
I really like the more random smaller grooves with the longer worm groove style. I don't really like those schatts with just the plain long grooves. I can't help but think about a piece of termite infested wood. :D

A) Worm groove sounds good to me.

B) Long pull for sure!

C) 100% carbon!

Thanks Charlie! :D

Wormgroove, Carbon and Long Pull!?!?!? I'm in all the way!!!

As far as a shield...I think being a camp style knife that an acorn style shield would be perfect for the pattern. Just my $.02

Charlie, spearheading and coordinating an effort comes with few advantages. In this case use the advantage to build a knife that we all know we will like. No need to do 2 or three more polls, use your discretion and work with Bill to create this special run. I don't think you've had a GEC SFO flop yet!!! I trust you, that is for sure.

Yes yes whatever.
Just get on with it.
(slinks back into burrow the words 'worm groove' are heard in a shrill obsessive gollum voice ):):
Thank You Charles.

Now THAT is something I could get behind!!! This is an excellent example of the type of jigging I like. Deep, sharp and above all irregular. As to the worm groove, I really prefer this to the multiple long groove style I've seen on some of the S&M examples shown.
