nightstalker has contacting me via email today and has escalated to threats saying he knows my address and it wont be forgotten.

Nightstalker, if your reading this, YOU TRADED ME STOLEN PROPERTY, THIS KNIFE IS NOT YOURS. IT IS NOT YOUR UNTIL MAPPETIZER HAS RECEIVED HIS END OF THE DEAL AND IS SATISFIED.

I will be soon blocking his email address. If he wants to get a hold of me, he can send me a letter since he knows my address. I am waiting until Mappetizer and myself figure out when we can close this whole thing and label nightstalker as a scammer.
 
You're right, I'd go so far as to call him impotent LOL

I get that this looks bad and I'd agree with the consensus however, we don't KNOW he was scamming. We know he didn't follow the rules and was sloppy and lazy and can't produce a shippin tracking number and we know he is behaving like a child. While those are all bad particularly trading the knife asap, it's not nearly egregious as scamming. I'm just saying innocent until proven guilty and all that. Although this is panning out poorly for him, the delay in shipping of the knife in question is not at all uncommon.
 
It now seems obvious that "nighstalker75" had no intention of shipping the OP anything.

I hope that he gets the boot sooner than later, he has nothing to contribute here.

I believe the best way to solve the rest of this issue is to send the OP whatever it is that you traded for the SMF.

He can sell it or keep it, but as far as what's owed to who, I believe that makes the most sense....

I am sure that in value it will be similar to what the OP would have lost if it wasn't for undefeatable's help, and he should be more than happy with that arrangement.....
 
Wow this went from a possible scammer to no question a total scammer...and all on nightstalkers own. (ok ok innocent until proven guilty) It is good to see there are stand up guys involved. Hope this works out in the end for OP and undefeatable.

Hope the cops get involved if this is indeed a scam

Trading someone else's knife makes this fairly clear.......

I am actually purchasing the SMF from Mappetizer. We agreed on a price and are doing a cash deal face to face. I would gladly trade him the knife i traded for plus cash but I believe he wants what he originally was going after.

I would be filing a report with the police about that. It's not just an online matter, your names and addresses are known to each other and he is communicating a non-specific implied threat. It may or may not be enough for ssomeoneto speak to him about but that way it's on record if someone starts stealing your underwear off the line.

Also everyone who has been "hands on" in relation to this matter needs to keep records of everything that has happened. Take screen shots, make pdfs of emails etc and save everything. It's a few minutes of work but trust me it's worth it.

Nightstalker1975 can chase up the item he sent and if it's lost he can claim insurance (because he shipped his goods insured, right?)
 
I have zero dog in this fight, but the level of community shown in this thread was a big reason I reupped my membership. Really helps to show how great this place can be!

So far, I am the only person nightstalker has been talking to. He has not attempted to contact Mappetizer and only post 1 time in this thread, which went poorly. If he was legit and it was as shipping delay and he legit lost the tracking info, he seems to not care because he has not tried to contact the OP or rectify the situation.
Furthermore, he traded stolen property. I am in possession of Mappetziers SMF and he has nothing in hand or any evidence that nightstalker shipped anything.
I like your thinking though and I know the innocent until proven guilty. I have tried to talk to nightstalker calmly through email and he just keeps wanting the SMF shipped back to him, nothing about trying to make things right with Mappetizer.
 
Yeah. He's made no effort here to right his wrongs. He could have called usps today and told them his name and sure they would have gave him the tracking # for the package supposedly sent.

He needs to be dealt with. Unacceptable behavior. You guys on instagram and where ever would let them know not to deal with the nightstalker also.

Sounds pretty compelling, if he was legit he would at least try to explain. Was just trying to play devils advocate as a bystander. I think it has to do with the fact I hope it is as simple as shipping issues so that all ends right for the most part and I hate the thought of people getting scammed.
