He is more than taking up for them he is supporting them with his money, he doesn't care if its made in china or if its warren Thomas design that they stole. If he doesn't care about all the blatant evidence then why would he care the company told you to **** off for asking questions.
No, and according to them. They are now in Austin at an "off-grid" facility, as they call it.
How does one get large size shipments(say, of knife steel) when "off the grid"?
Look at Emerson, he has almost no filter when it comes to telling people to F off.
when they clearly state 100% made in the US....I can see how someone might get irritated
And Jared has also done business as "The Mad Blacksmith." Haven't gone down that rabbit hole yet.
Here is a link to the FTC to file a complaint against Quartermaster.

I came across that Instagram account a while ago...

The Mad Blacksmith brand is the brainchild of long time metal-master Jared West. Back in high school, West started his design career with Hot Rods by Boyd, a shop run by the late Boyd Coddington in Stanton, CA. At Boyd's, West worked alongside perhaps the most talented auto design-mind of our time: Chip Foose. It is from Chip Foose and other experts that Jared absorbed the knowledge that led to the creation of The Mad Blacksmith brand. After years there and several custom builds under his belt, Jared made his love of design "official" with his enrollment into The Art Center college of design in Pasadena, CA.
Years later, Jared and his partners launched scores of products in his chosen field of aftermarket auto, pocket knives, hand tools, men's accessories, as well as a short foray into consumer electronics after being asked to join the "Haus of Gaga" design team at Polaroid Inc in 2011. This timeline has cleared a path for both quality and creativity to flow more freely from one year to the next.
With a renewed vigor and a flood of fresh ideas, Jared has promised fans of this new brand: The Mad Blacksmith the ultimate in affordable, innovative tools.
I mean, if you want the truth...you can get the truth.
The link is for reporting anti-trust violations.
Rather than attack each other, why not draw whatever conclusions seem to you to be justified from the facts as they appear?
You Can't handle The Truth!
Sorry couldn't help it.
Who the F wants to waste a much of time with an inquiry to a government agency about a drop in the bucket knife company that can't answer simple questions? That would be a dumb waste of time.
The info is out there. Either you believe it or you don't. If you want to declare for one side or the other then be prepared to debate it, or walk away.
I would never buy a Quaterdisaster. Way too much smoke. And this is me walking away....
I find it a dumb waste of time for people that troll for words like "Quartermaster" and "Strider" just so they can pop in and school people.
Wait, is this about strider? I thought it was about QTRM...My mistake.
So what does it say about the folks who respond to dumb people who "pop" in and "school" people about Qs or Striders?
I have no dog in this fight other than to say that based on my own research I won't ever support a company that can't tell me where their product is made when asked. To each their own I guess. Sorry if that was "pop"ing off. Then again, this is a forum where we share our thoughts and opinions on various things.
I purchased a Mantis Friction folder from their site to just to check it out and it had mismatched pieces and it sure looked like the parts were made over seas and possibly assembled here. It was a real piece of junk.It doesn't actually have to be 'made in the USA' to be labelled 'made in the USA' parts made elsewhere but assemble here seems to be 'good enough'......
It states on their website that they are Made in the US, it also says it on their knives.....How hard is that to understand?
