^Fair enough elkins.Like I said,I don't know why some makers require deposits when there aren't any exotic materials involved.I can't say I entirely disagree with it either.
I don't know how many times someone has ordered a knife from them,then backed out when it was time to pay.It's gotta be frustrating,but like you said it can't be very hard for them to sell that same knife to someone else,unless it had really crazy dimensions(5" handle 2" blade,serrated with a guthook).
You know, that's a fairly good point about unusual designs. I suppose if I were a maker I would want a pretty fair deposit from people who request something that would be difficult to sell if the buyer flaked out.
