Shame on you Jim Adams

Many years ago, I was Deputy Sheriff. I discovered at that time, the truth was usually somewhere in the middle. That is my feeling of this situation.

If you chose to believe Delwin was on the up and up at the beginning of this mess, that sir is your perogative.

Delwin will get his money back, a knifemakers reputation is in the toilet, Delwin will go on his merry way. Such is life.

To believe me or not is one thing. But when goods not delievered and payment not being returned is another issue.
His reputation is in the toilet is done by himself. He should offered to make me another knife if he is not comfortable with what i wanted. But he choose to lied to me. I maybe be at fault in one way, but he as a professional should advise me.

Agreed.

Jim, can i know that in any ways you can prove that you have sent out the money??
Please post it in here.

I already told Dewin I would refund his money, because it is not my Money. I am not trying to steal Delwin's money in any way shape or form.

sorry about that delwin, thought i had read the entire thread.

now, did you send him this pic?

if so, where did it come from?

also, i find it difficult to accept that from a simple drawing mr. adams was able to make the leap to claiming delwin had stolen the design, especially since there are not other details described.

seems to me a couple changes to the shape should have solved any dilemma regarding theft.

it is common for chinese manufacturers to literally steal the designs of makers, right down to the markings. it is also common to copy design elements so the end product looks remarkably like the original.

delwin may not have any idea this is not looked upon favorably here.

Yap, i had to agreed with what you said that it is common for chinese manufacturers to literally steal the designs of makers, right down to the markings. it is also common to copy design elements so the end product looks remarkably like the original. I dont know that this is not good in here as this is my first time ordering from US.
But if he is not really comfortable with what i wanted, he can advise me of a few changes. I would be gradly ok with it. Infact this way will make the knife unique.
Got to stop here. Will try to answer all questions tomorrow.

Yup.

The solution to the problem was not complicated at all.

That is both well said AND the understatement of this thread. This went so unnessesarily bad it almost appears as a professional suicide attempt OR somebody just got - caught. Sometimes that's what happens when the lights get turned on. I suspect a long distance transaction with someone that is quite obviously a little language challenged and to the unenlightened could appear not quite bright but anything but is the case. We live in a veryvery small internet world. Way bigger than Tennesee. Oh well.

Delwin design.

Ergos are different, choil is different, blade isn't rounded on the spine and the points. What kind of grind was he asking for?

Wait a sec... Who cares?

Instead of saying the design needed to be modified, you decided to steal his money.

Cool. Great company you have there...

Thank you gentleman for point out that it is Okay to copy another maker's knife. Just as long as kinda don't look like another knife.

Remember if Delwin hadn't lied to me. There would be no GBU thread.
