Nice work guys. Really this kind of info has helped other members get resolution. I hope Pete will realize his option is pay up.

I sent tacmedic909 a Pm about this thread. He may have information. They had traded and I believe he mailed his end of trade. Sledge / sidewindr /Pete didn't. It was when Pete was sidewindr on BF. Also if tacmedic909 is still owed. Now might be the time to get it.

Other than child predators/pornography, I agree with this 100%. Oh, and drugs and prostitution. They seem to get a major woody over any sort of online drug sales and prostitution. Property crimes? They do not GAFF. Cannot be bothered.

Then again, the same can often be said for local LEO. I had my garage broken into and $1000+ worth of tools stolen once about 25 years ago, and another time about 30 years ago I had an expensive high end stereo unit ripped and stolen out of my car. Local LEO was worse than useless on both occasions.
 
A general word of advice--when you come to a forum for the sole purpose of buying, selling and trading, you run a risk. Without getting to know who posts, what kinds of people trade, etc., it can be a crap shoot. Were I running this site (no thanks!) I'd maybe strongly advise people to become members of the BF community, rather than knife buyers/sellers. And knife buyers/sellers--sorry if this offends you, but its my two cents

The police do the best they can on those type crimes. There's often no clues whatsoever and even if there is, no way to match them to a perpetrator. Even when they do manage to catch them red-handed, as in the act, they still have to tie that crime to your loss. (as in another break in) Believe me law enforcement does not want criminals running loose ripping people off, but often they have no more idea who broke in and stole your property than you do.
 
Local law enforcement 25 and 30 years ago has nothing to do with catching thieves online today. You can discourage people from trying to find help, but without trying there is no chance. That's why we have this FEEDBACK forum, to share advice and information.
 
No, sir. I didn't trade with him. I saw he wanted to trade but had no or very low feedback. I requested he ship first. He agreed and then stated he was a Houston Police officer in a precient...I didn't know Houston had precients. I did some checking and found he was full of shit. I'm sorry all this is happening to other members. His M.O. is attempting to scam everyone but he tries to appeal to members of law enforcement or the military. My advice: don't be afraid to ask questions and sniff around. If you smell BS then say something.

Are the Mods over at JD Forum aware of this guy and his multiple accounts? Maybe there are some members there that have dealt with this guy and have a shipping address, or other contact info.

Yeah, been in contact with Mr.LaBella. He knows, sent him a PM this morning with the second account. Don't know if he pulled off any deals there, people seemed to sniff out his BS right away and generally avoided him from what I've seen. He used the "this is how you treat soldiers" line over there to not much avail when he got called out on something fishy in a FS thread he posted.

I hate people who use their military background to try to gain sympathy and respect. Being a veteran does not give you a free pass to be an a-hole.
