Ok, so I'm a glutten for punishment. Found another drop ship site with 3 Emerson Commanders $16 each. Did the Google checkout, all smooth. INteresting thing is on the site jp bazar, if I bumped the black to 2 cart went out of stock. Satin held at 2, but out of stock at 3....maybe a good sign that a DB is tracked.

Fingers crossed

Edit: May be a promising note, just went back to the site, froogle saw the knifes but when I went to the page...item not found came up.....soooooo....do you think my order got thruogh and actually deleted the amount in stock?

That looks like the real deal to me. I have a Manix and from the pics, it looks like you got a real Manix. The box is legit for sure. Good for you. Sometimes risks pay off.

Now, why haven't I heard anything about the bunch of Spydercos I ordered? I got an e-mail stating that the Para I ordered was out of stock and the price for that was refunded. I placed an order for a bunch more of the cheap Spydercos and I haven't heard word one about them. I hope I get my knives like everyone else.

Yeah their system is a bit screwy. I just got an out of stock email from them on the persian. Funny thing is, they had already sent me an OOS on that and the Para but then they sent notification that the Para would ship.

Don't know if I'm getting anything or not now.
 
Still no tracking number but I did get a response from AHO saying that as far as they knew, the order was in progress. I ordered a bunch of knives (about 20 different Spydercos) just to see if I would get any of them. I was using the shotgun approach. Fire a bunch of bullets and maybe I will get some of the ones I ordered. I ordered a bunch but I would be happy to get just a couple of them. I was thinking that if I ordered 10, I might get one or two. Now it looks like I would have better off ordering one of each and making each one a separate order. That way, if they had say the Manix in stock, I would at least get that one. I hope my entire order is not canceled just because some of the ones I ordered are out of stock.
 
I saw this thread and ordered an assortment of Spyders as well. Got a cancellation yesterday. :( No joy in Mudville. I suspect that MANY more who ordered will get cancels soon.
 
I'm sure there was a very limited number of these underpriced knives. It's good to see that some people were able to get some excellent deals though.
 
so how many knives did you guys order and how many did you get ??
don't sound like they shipped many knives ,,i think 4 i seen so far???

I think I was one of the first people to order so I am kind of mad that I have not even recieved an e-mail with a tracking number yet. I placed my order on Dec 30, 2006, 3:16 PM. Did anyone order after that and get their knives? If so, I want to know in case I don't get my knives, I may have a reason to complain to someone.
 
aho has spent a great deal of time reading this thread, but not commenting. It would be nice to have him explain what is happening with all the cancellations. Why are some people not getting their knives and also not getting any emails explaining why?
 
Keith, he did explain. He sends the orders as he gets them to his suppliers and they ship directly to his customers. If they are out of stock and tell him, he cancels the orders and notifies the customers. If they don't tell him right away, the notification/cancellation is delayed. If they ship and the shipment hasn't arrived yet, the customers wait.

With bargains like these, you aren't getting Next Day Delivery. Although he may stay logged in to this thread, he does have work to do, and may not actually check on what we're saying all that often, especially now that he's explained the system in some detail.

It won't be long. :)
 
I figuire if I even get one of the knives I ordered, it will have been worth the wait. I just have ants in my pants waiting for the news. If I get some of the knives, it will be the best deal I have ever got so I am just excited.
 
Thanks Blub, that worked for the tracking numbers, I got another batch today with another group coming in the 10th. the invoices had some marked as backorderded, and i didn't receive cancellations, not in stock refunds for those. So I am hoping they will fill the backorders, if not we'll i still will have done well.

That's great! I wish I hadn't chickened out now, I did get the Emerson Commander and the Manix + A.T.R. are on the way though.
 
Hi Wolf45, Congrats on your new knives!! I am wondering when you placed your orders with AHO...I placed two orders with them as well, and have had one cancelled and I'm still waiting on word for the one I placed before the cancelled one. I place my order on December 31st.

We exchanged a few emails today; aho hasn't gotten any word on my order yet. He offered to cancel the order, but I'll give it just a little longer *rubs lucky rabbit's foot*.
 
I placed my orders, i did 4 different ones, on the 30th. ive been lucky, cause they seem to all be shipping from CA, so it's been 3-4 days from shipping notice until they show up. not bad for UPS.
