I smelled something fishy from the beginning. How didnthese guys (particularly darth vader) even work this deal out when neither of them can write a coherent point?

Then there is no suspicion of the guy who sent it, which would probably be the first person anyone suspected. Oh but they met on instagram and thus he wouldn't lie.

I think the likely scenarios are either it was lost or this is indeed mail fraud.

What was wih that terrible taping job and the piece of blue glove? The guy never answered if he was wearing blue gloves. In fact I doubt either of them will be answering much anymore at all.

ETA: Another thing that is really bugging me is that the buyer opened it and commented on how light it was right in front of the postal worker. His excitement and comment are not the issue. That he would ask the postal worker to watch him open it is. It seems like he is trying to "build a case" so to speak. I don't know for sure that he asked her to be present when he opened it, but in my experience, postal delivery employees don't really have the time to sit around and watch people open packages. Heck, half the time, they don't even have the quick second to ring the doorbell when they drop a package. Even in the PO itself, it's a rare day that there isn't a line at the counter.

I signed for the box, and then was handed it , the weight seemed suspicious, so opened with my finger from the part where that piece of blue glove was , right In front of the worker! It was signature confirmation delivery !

Sorry but when you conduct yourself in such ways you get what you deserve. While this forum will not police use of PayPal gift (which I agree with), members here can actively shun folks who use it. This is a perfect example.

I guess I'm too trusting, as a person , really will be a lesson for me ! I have sent more valuable stuff just based on communication , let's say for trade did one a couple of days ago , here ! No problem !
No refund yet on this , I asked the guy to work this out ! Send me half of the funds and I'll wait to see if insurance covers , if not , I'm ready to loose sometimes, well that's life!

Naaah- Nonchalant and flippantly losing $500 yet using F+F because paying the 3% PayPal Fees was too much?

What is it , you want me to answer? That I'm out 1k ? So, I have traded and bought and sold more expensive knives , here and other places, my mentality might be slightly different! I know lot of knife people and most transactions are based on trust mostly, I don't think the guy screwed me! I think knife disappeared on the way here! Stuff happens, I can take a loss!! Made a post here , in case maybe one day this little knife would pop up on forums ? That's all I tried to do !!

Let's say I did a trade and not a sale ? And same thing happened on my end ? What's the difference!
I'm ready to take a loss and consider this a bad luck day!
My intention was to keep the forums notified , if the knife appeared here one day for sale or whatever? That it is stolen!!!

Well, if you and the seller are ok with what happened, and it sounds like you both are, then forget about the knife and take the monetary loss as well WITHOUT filing a claim with the PO. After all, why waste their time?
 
I don't think the knife was stolen, I think your money was stolen, OP.

I know , man ! I was on the road while , texting and pissed !! That's why my post came out this way !
I blame my self only , if I only didn't sign for that package!
Lady had me sign and then hand it over , soon as I felt it's lite , I said wait a minute please! Ripped the package from the side where that blue piece of glove was , right in front of her !
She said sorry , you need to go to the post office , I'm just delivering

The difference is you went out of your way to screw yourself. You were fine with screwing paypal but when you get screwed? If this guy you dealt with was honest or you had paid the correct way you would have your money back already. And stop using the exclamation point ! It is unneeded ! Proper communication is key ! And I can't understand you when you are yelling all the time !!!!
 
You know? Some of the members are being real harsh on me! Kicking the guy that's down already! Rather than give some good advise! ? Some of you guys blame me for being not careful in this transaction, I understand and will be more cautious next time. For accusing me of bullshit , stuff like fishy and less believable??? Need to quit!!
