Some people are still assuming this must be a rehash of old news and posting without bothering to skim through the thread and see if it is or not. I expect that will probably continue. It doesn't matter how many times we post about it; those people are posting without reading anything but the thread title.

Well in a sense it is somewhat old news, at least the basic point/gist of it is.
This happened to me. After the 50+ page storm last go-round, I knee-jerked when I saw the thread title.
So why not change the thread title to reflect that this thread is about Dwayne and not Mick?

Yessir, agreed on that point. This is old news when it comes to calling out Strider et. al. Very boring indeed it is!
But it is very new and newsworthy in the sense that it now appears that the other owner of Strider knives if also full of shit.
I wonder who told the first lie.. Mick or Duane? Maybe they got together over some margaritas and figured out who was going to fill which role....the Marine sniper or the high speed-low drag operator.

I do not own any Strider knives but I thought the world of Duane and held him in very high regard. This is an absolute shocker and something I would never had expected. That's why I hoped this would be untrue or just go away. Yup, looks terribly bad for Duane and it is very sad,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Just a dumb question, and one that will probably stir the pot even more, but I thought that you could only request/obtain copies of somebody's service record AFTER they were dead? While they're still alive, you have to get a signed waver from the veteran themselves(I know, because I had to do just that, to get my Father's record, as he's still living). So, how does the POW network get Mr. Dwyer's records while he's still alive and kicking? The Freedom Of Information Act isn't going to get you access to ALL of the records. Something is missing from the equation here. Sounds more and more like a witch hunt to me, and that's pretty sad.
They went down in value because everyone else had their comic books sealed in mylar bags as well, waiting for them to become worth thousands of dollars.
Some of mine went as high as $80-90 each; then they plummeted down to $10 each, if you could find some sucker to buy them.
But nice try at an insult; soon you'll get the hang of it.

If Duane's wife is Mrs. Dwyer and his kids are Dwyers would there be a record of a legal name change?
One more stupid question; does the military allow soldiers with multiple names, or was that deduced elswhere?

Not old news to me. The fact that it involves an owner of Strider, would I guess, make it beating a dead horse to some. I on the otherhand, think that information like this should be out there so that people can make purchasing decisions based on whatever is important to them. Let the people that read it decide if it is important or not.

This is still very sad news, at least to me. I like to think well of others, but perhaps a life in the lab does not qualify me as a good judge of character.
