That's a beauty, Joe. What do you use, Wicked Edge or Edge Pro? (I'm guessing it's one of those two.) I did my 0562 on a Lansky, before I upgraded to an Edge Pro. Still came out pretty darn nice...considering.![]()
nice work joe!
Started sharpening on an edge pro but now use a wicked edge. This knife was done on the Wicked Edge.
No Stropping, just diamond stones and lapping film down to 0.5um

How coarse were the diamond stones you started out with? It seems like the 100/200 grit can make some pretty decent scratches that take a lot of time and effort to get out. Or maybe I'm just using WAY too much force! LOL.
Any tips for a fellow Wicked Edge User?

I try to use the highest grit possible, depends on how much metal i need to remove. Usually try 400/600 first and try not to use 100 unless it's REALLY needed. I'm willing to spend a little more time with a higher grit to keep the deep scratches to a minimum. My stones have finally broken in for the most part. And yes, I have learned to let the stones do the work by using less pressure.
What angle is the wharncliffe at?
