Bad Survive! Deserves A Permanent Post In The Hall Of Shame

This would make a good debate on ethics. Essentially this statement is suggesting ethics and morals are variable and based not what's right and wrong but a supply and demand. I have limited choices for a phone (arguably a want and not a need) so my moral obligation to avoid companies with bad or harmful businesses is less important.
Go start your own thread on ethics in community or wherever. This is about survive the con-artists you support.

While I hate to perpetuate this side discussion I try to clarify this. How much immorality and unethical practice we accept from a company is what we are talking about. When there is greater diversity in offering and companies there is greater diversity of levels of ethics and morals from those companies giving us more freedom to be more discerning on those aspects of the purchasing decision process. We have used phones, and tech, as an example of more limited diversity in moral and ethical practices. Let look at something else how about food in the real of GMO vs Non-GMO there is and has been for several years no a big debate about the ethics and morals of each side and how the relate to the health of consumers as well as the sustainability of the grow methods along with other economic and social impacts from each side. You may ultimately have to concede at the grocery that while you believe the ethics and morals of GMO are bad you simply can't afford to feed your family when buying Non-GMO as the prices are often significantly higher. If we move back to knives when you look at the quality and price of the final product morals and ethics aside you can find a fair diversity of makers now if you move over to look at the ethics and morals of them there is less noise about ethics and morals with several alternatives making them look like a better choice if you are one who cares about what your dollars support beyond the product it buys. I say "noise" because I am not really in any position to claim the those we aren't hearing about are perfect upright people nor can I say with absolute certainty that the issues of Survive were intentional and/or of malicious intent. I can say that Survive has not done well to alleviate notions that their intentions were not to deceive and their behavior lines up closely with proven examples of people who have intentionally deceived. We make our purchases based on what we can afford, what products fill a "need" we have, and how much we care about what our money supports however this all is limited by how much we know about the product and the company behind it.

I can tell you this they used the sheath excuse on me in 2016 for a 7/7 order I had and for years
Their last production update email used the sheath excuse for the TSK my friend has on order with them.

On their current Production Schedule those knives are listed as "shipping now or preparing to ship soon" with the note that handle materials are getting machined. They've had that status for more or less all of 2022. And, looking at an archive of that page from June 2021 they were listed as "shipping in 2-6 months" with the handle material being cut "soon".

In general their excuses don't hold up well over time.

Abject Nietzsche over here is really interested in ethical dilemmas.
There's no ethical dilemma here just:
~ A company that continues tripping over it's own shoe laces, repeating "I meant to do that!".
~ A bunch of honest folks falling into their pitfall trap
~ A few people, who should know better, going back for seconds
~ A couple people who've got no personal issue with a company continually screwing over other people.
~ A lot of people making fun of S!K for being a shitty excuse for a business.

Hey, just wanted to get a quick on-topic update:

Is S!K still taking full-payment preorders for knives that aren't manufactured?

Have they fulfilled their years-old backlog of all the other paid-in-full preorders that weren't manufactured?

Hey Russell, thank you for your interest in Sack-o-crap! Knives.

They are still taking full-payment preorders, but they want you to know tips are greatly appreciated for their college fund.
Unfortunately, due to changes in the Gulf Stream, the price of tea in China and the recent proliferation of Africanized Bees, the knives are still back-logged.

Have they fulfilled their years-old backlog of all the other paid-in-full preorders that weren't manufactured?
You are focused on the negative, their slow manufacturing of knives ordered and paid for 6 years ago.

Maybe try to focus on the positive: their absolutely world class manufacturing of excuses. Nothing slow about it, it's topnotch work, churned out at a rapid pace.

Oh boy that looks like people trying to climb into my ass to call me names and lament about me not hating Survive!

Your attempts at deflection aside, do you honestly think that you are changing people's opinions regarding Survive's Ponzi scheme?

It's because they use the same few excuses over and over. If I had a dollar for every time Ellie had posted some huge wharblgarble about how "they were really turning things around" I'd have enough to buy a few of their knives on the Exchange.

If we're speaking about honesty then I honestly don't understand how the same questions can keep getting asked, keep getting answered, and people continue to ask them again.

Have they fulfilled their years-old backlog of all the other paid-in-full preorders that weren't manufactured?
It's been spoken about a few times, go back and read the thread.

Am I changing peoples opinions about Survive!? Well I've suggested numerous times that people shouldn't buy their knives, and should threaten (and take) legal action if they don't get their knives. So I'm not sure what answer your looking for here.

You should ask me if all their knives have been delivered yet.

It's 149 pages of negative testimony about Survive Knives. I honestly don't understand how people could trust them after 6+ years of promises, excuses and tall tales.

Your reply is more deflection, and no straight answers. Not one.

No wonder you champion Survive, you're cut from the same cloth.

The same questions have already been asked, answered, asked and answered. Over and over.

Maybe you should ask if they're caught up with their pre-orders again, that might make you feel better? Better yet, try this. Ask me if I think anyone here should buy Survive! knives. Go ahead.

Hey, have you seen some of Ellie's excuses from 2018? It seems like they are still having the same problems four (4) YEARS later, lol!
