Bad Survive! Deserves A Permanent Post In The Hall Of Shame

New here. Not new to forums. Been participating in one or another for as long as forums existed. Currently a moderator on two different forums, so well acquainted with the various aspects thereof. So you do you. I'll do me.
Welcome.

Setting quite a tone for yourself.

Don't ask me to elaborate, I'm busy doing me. Thank you and goodluck.

We've discussed this before here. Even when it IS the suppliers fault, or someone else's fault, it's not good business etiquette to blame them. When you constantly run into problems and it's always everyone else's fault you should consider looking in a mirror for the culprit.
We have been saying it here for nearly a decade. You have been here a hot minute just to troll us, be a pest, and shill. Just so all the new folks know you aren't part of the we.

They used the sheath issue in 2016 with me with the 7/7 and it took till 2022 to get them done after many sales on 2nds.
No not all people got their knives as they refunded my purchase when I didn't even ask for it. It was for a GSO 5.1 ordered in May of 2016. Remember all the post about being caught up in one year time. Years later they still are taking preorders and still haven't sent the knives out from 2016. I guess they will refund them all and say they are complete. What about taking orders for the SK line that was going to reduce demand and 2 years into it it was abandoned and upgraded to the GSO line and then you were on a wait train again.

Anyone who tells you that they pre-ordered a knife and got it in a 60 days or less is a Survive Shill. How in Hades does a person who order a GSO 5.1 recently get one and the people in 2016 still are waiting? They keep taking in money and keep pushing orders down the road on purpose. I can't bring myself to ever trust them and I don't care if I miss out either. I would take a knife in 1095 that looks similar and go enjoy the outdoors now over dealing with their lies. It is a free country in terms of if you wish to do business with them and wait years. Do I want to trust a repeated liar? "NO".

You got to wonder how many different ways survive has "cooked the books." I mean, your refunded order that you didn't asked for is counted as a completed order. I wonder if when survive feels like they need to come up with some progress they just refund a bunch of people and call those orders complete and report them as such in their work progress numbers? All those SK line orders, are they complete because they got moved to GSO orders? When/If those get made or refunded do they double count those orders, one for the SK order and one for the GSO line? You never know since survive are con-artists who are obviously successful at the con, based on the marks who keep shilling posting here. When you get away with cooking the books, and people who you've scammed use that evidence to defend you, why not double cook those books! Let's go!

I will say one thing for Survive: they have. Survived, that is. Which I find inexplicable; while knife making is hardly a capital intensive high-risk industry, it is entirely possibly to go out of business, many shops have.

For a shop that seems to manufacture far more excuses than knives, their continued existence seems to imply there's room for at least one more competent knife maker in the US.

They are grifters. Their goal is not to make good knives. Their goal is to survive. They'll keep this con up until it no longer works.

How does Survive (a blatant ponzi scheme) manage to "survive" all these years?
Bernie maddoff was able to keep his Ponzi alive for over 17 years and only folded because his own sons turned him in.

Here... this will help you understand.. Survive has an abundance of shills and fanboys and people who just don't research.. Look at the posts here on this shill piece.. literally hundreds of people wanting to throw money at Survive!

What is the current longest Leadtime of undelivered survive knifes?.. Whatever that number is, that is AT LEAST how long the Ponzi has gone on for illegitimately. But even that is an estimate. I don't think their Ponzi was growing at a 1:1 time ratio... in other words, it's not like it went 1,2,3,4,5,6 years Leadtime growth over 6 years... I'm curious if anyone has documented the ponzi growth? IE... Is it like 1/2 a year ponzi Leadtime growth over a full year etc. ?

Whatever the time frame, I would have bet money that bad press and six years Leadtime would have killed off their reputation years ago.. but apparently I WAYYY WAYYYYYY Over credited people's intelligence and far underestimated the tolerance and ability to sweep six year lead-times on old preorders and distract shills/fanboys with newer periodic knife releases.

There is an interesting phenomenon that happens in social media/forums.
I had mistaken my observations of how savvy/smart Individual people "can" be (like most of you here), and assumed the overwhelming majority of people are like that... I was so soo wrong!
I am no Einstein, nor have the business savy of Warren Buffet. But I have learned many many people are complete and utter morons beyond parody and due whatever scam falls on them.... Intelligent savvy people are NOT the norm. Not to sound smug or condescending as much as it's now a fact born of overwhelming proof I see the older I get.

Also, don't forget the utter impotence of trade laws, and governing agencies to bring their practice to heel.

The above is so true…

I‘ve been reading about and informally studying con games and the grifters who run them for years.

One of the things, perhaps the most important thing about them that the average victim never or seldom realize is the sheer amount of time and effort that serious grifters put into honing (no pun intended) their craft, acquiring and working on their victims. Particularly the type of modified Ponzi scheme that the thieves at Survive? Knives are perpetuating.

I don’t know Guys criminal background but I have no doubt that he and at least some of others involved have fairly extensive histories. They didn’t spring forth one day and decide to start scamming knife collectors.

They‘ve been grooming and preparing for years. Undoubtedly pulling other scams to keep their efforts afloat along the way.

The shills and fanboys are not just byproducts of their thievery, they‘re a very important part of the scheme, especially in this time of overwhelming and unavoidable social media influence. These folks perpetuating crimes and those who unwittingly or purposefully support and aid the thieves on social media will be the next generation of criminals that will be written about and studied in the future by criminologists, psychologists, etc.

And before anyone comments on how they could be using their time and efforts to actually produce their products, that’s not their goal or the point They’re thieves and thieves steal for a living, they don’t make knives. The thievery is the goal and the point.

I see their multi-year interest-free loans are keeping them afloat. Guy and Ellie got in over their head and are using some real bullshit “howdy there neighbor” salesmanship to dig their way out. Incompetent bungling morons.

Or they’re con artists who’re smarter than the people they sell to, possibly, but I like to think of them as Mr. Magoo and accidentally successfully navigating the construction site without their glasses.

Morons.

I think someone might be confusing "making" with "assembling". That's even part of Elliie's patented ExcuseTron2000: Blaming suppliers of all the parts for Survive's inability to honor years-old paid in full orders.

Does S?K make blanks? Nope.
Handles? Nope
Heat Treat? Nope
Sheaths? Nope

They're a glorified kit-knife assembly plant, and not a particularly good one at that.
