Bad Survive! Deserves A Permanent Post In The Hall Of Shame

T Tools_and_Tights

You've been issued a time out from this thread for a week. If all you can do is continue to stir the pot upon your return, we'll make the reply ban permanent.

Maybe you'll find another cause during the interim. Good luck with that.

Consider- SurviveKnives! delivering 1 knife in a timely manner is news worthy.

I don't remember anyone else in the last 195 pages having been so Lucky.

Pray you never need a warranty repair- The last one we heard about took 2-3 years to get resolved.

Yes if they promise to turn their business around 360 on the weekend we would totally stop being so mean to them.

Please share.

I think they've turned themselves 360° at least a few times

I order a GSO 5.1 Magnacut after the DBK boys video.. unfortunately I DIDN’T know about their history. They guaranteed up and down in 90 days or less it would be in my hand. 90 days came and went… crickets lol.

I had to harass them non-stop: Call, text, email, all relentlessly - and since I used PayPal, threaten to revoke payment. Guy (owner) finally contacted me directly with a picture of him holding the knife, saying it would ship out in days and it was “almost ready”. *It still took 3 weeks from that point*, because apparently they “ran out of screws” lol.
It just became comical how many delays there were.

After almost 6 months from order date, I finally did get it. I will say the quality “appears” great, and is an excellent factory edge. I could carve 2 figure 8s in paper with ease and precision, pretty neat from a larger knife. Sure I got mine after tons of BS - and I’m one of the lucky ones, even after all that, I’m considered lucky!

However - with that being said, I will never order again. The energy and time it took on my end to get my guaranteed knife was not worth it. Further, they recently had issues with “decarburization” from their latest Magnacut blades and they had to pull an ENTIRE batch, of which some already shipped out. All of this makes me leery if I ever had a warranty issue I would be screwed.

At the end of the day here is the solid truth:
THEY MIGHT MAKE A PRETTY DECENT KNIFE - BUT IF YOU’RE LUCKY YOU ACTUALLY GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR - BUT IT WILL INEVITABLY COST YOU MORE THAN JUST MONEY - IT WILL CAUSE YOU A HEADACHE, HASSLE, TIME AND ENERGY IF NOT MORE.
…AND YOU WILL NEVER BE SECURE THINKING ITS COVERED BY THEM IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE.

I appreciate your story- I really like the part about how S!K didn't meet their promises.
That's in line with everything I know about them.
Those idiots can't get out of their own way.

Perhaps we have S!K's slogan:
"Survive! Knives... it's gonna cost you."

Haha that’s it! That’s great!

Well done, shows the power of nagging!

Getting Survive! Knives to actually deliver a knife is an act of God.

Also, while we're griping, I have always hated the fact they put an exclamation mark in their name.
Don't tell me what to do.

Similarly, I'm irritated that it abreviates to "S!K", which looks like "sik" which sounds like "sick", as if they're a bunch of bros in 2008 with their visors flipped upside-down and side ways.

I just assumed it was S!K which looks like sik which we pronounce sick which is how dealing with them makes you feel. I just assumed this was intentional inside joke of theirs and the "game" they seem to so enjoy playing with their "customers".

I see SK is again sending out free knives to the UTube shills to lure in more unsuspecting customers...and I still cannot find a Channel that exposes their true nature. Their Surviving by controlling their own media. When I ordered my knife (years ago) I did see enough concern to make me do some research first. That research did not lead me to this forum...Just Say’n
