Bad Survive! Deserves A Permanent Post In The Hall Of Shame

My favorite lines...

"Because of their large size it did take a bit longer to figure out the best production methods for the GSO-12 and GSO-10."

It took 8 grueling years, but they did it everyone!

"...we did extensive testing to find a new wheel that makes it much quicker to surface grind these big knives."

I bet that really cuts down on the 8 year turn around time.

"They are still more time consuming than small-medium blades... "

And yet they didn't know that in their initial completion date projections?

"...knives heading out in the coming weeks."

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Ok, so other than taking a dump on them on a forum, what’s a real and viable solution to ensure from the consumer standpoint that those orders get fulfilled? Is there legal action that can be taken?
Well there's the Better Business Bureau...

and really the only way to take action is to get people to stop buying their knives.

Sorry, that's actually out of date since my screen cap 10 months ago:
Here's a better one.

Other than the backlogged customers, who would have a motive to make sure people no longer purchased Survive knives?

People that don't want to see others be lied to or screwed over.

To answer your other question, the viable solution has only ever been in on entity's hands. Survive knives. And they have had more than ample time and opportunity to do so.

You (I assume) came to this situation late in the game. They had probably almost unanimous support when the issues started to arise because they put out a good product at a good price and people wanted to see them succeed.

Yet the issues grew and the lies became repetitive. You can only keep support for so long whilst you're slinging BS and that support obviously dwindled as time went on as it became more and more clear that they were not changing.

All we can really do us warn others.

Also, please take note of this point.
While their forum was shut down because of their shenanigans, they were not banned. Meaning, they can freely come here to post yet they choose not to. And they also seem to stay away from the platforms which they cannot fully moderate what is said. Makes one wonder why, eh?

People who treat this place like a circle of friends who you share knowledge with vs. those who just feel it's another form of social media to flex on?

A) Hey, almost anyone who tried to buy a knife from Survive has been ripped of. Don't do it!
B) Hey, talked to Guy and Ellie on Facebook and told them how awesome they are; they hooked be up with this sweet new GSO after just a week.

Choose your adventure.

And just to be clear it's not the other knife companies they've partnered with in the past that Survive fell out with and slandered. They don't care; they're too busy making knives and shipping them to their customers. That's just bananas!

So if I figure out how to take the cerakote off, there should still be decarburization on the blade? I thought the 0.17 GSO 5.1s were the blanks that were effected by the decarburization. The one I got is the 0.19” GSO 5.1.
Yes, if it is cerakoted magnacut it is because it had decarb issues. He claims the .190 5.1’s were the least affected, but they were still affected. He didn’t want to coat magnacut but only did so to cover the decarb.

So you're saying Tools-n-Tights bought a factory second at new knife prices?
... ouch. That hurts.

If they came onto this forum, and showed they no longer had outstanding orders, and it were in fact true, would that be enough to change the minds on this particular forum?

For some, perhaps. For others, probably not because that won't erase the years of lies that they have told.

Regardless, that is the right thing to do and what their customers and the peanut gallery have wanted to see happen for nearing a decade.

Yes if they promise to turn their business around 360 on the weekend we would totally stop being so mean to them.

Please share.
