This is what I keep asking about as this has been the appearance to me for months now.
 
As a young man in the 1970s, I underestimated the prevalence of criminality, dishonesty, and abject disdain for the law and societal norms throughout all levels of business that are now obvious to any person with a functioning prefrontal cortex. Lucky for the criminals, a large plurality of humans are idiots/morons/imbeciles.

If you (or I) dont buy it, someone else will. You cant change this shitty world by preaching whats good or bad. People are doing far worse things in the world. Cant blame somebody that buy factory 2nd and dont care about the guy who preordered it 8 years ago and didnt get it. As Tony Beets (from Gold rush) says: Sucks to be you, right?

Doesn't mean that they don't deserve to know about Survive's business ethics or tactics. They're free to buy anything they want.
 
I am stating it is a red flag to me of manipulation of their "customers" and dirty dealings to as others have suggested double sell a product even if they "refund" those extra sales. The flawless nature would suggest that they are doing so intentionally even if they know they don't keep the money long term you can make gains on those double sales and keep those profits even after the "refund". The more we discourage people from buying from them the harder it will be for them to run any such con. No matter if this is actually such terrible business planning and operations or intentional means to con and scam Survive deserves to go out of business at this point. I do not believe a business should be saved when the issue is in their operations regardless of it is malintent or foolish management.

Good thing you put refund in quotes as I suspect there are many like me that were supposed to get a refund and never did. I believe in Karma and they will get what they deserve. Contact the AG if they screwed you over.

wow... thanks for telling us who you are.

remember just a few months ago when S!K claimed they were going to hire someone to respond to all emails, resolve all outstanding customer service issues and issue refunds? based on messages on Facebook and a few Reddit threads, there are still loads of people that cannot get S!K to respond to emails, voicemail or requests for refunds. Guy and Ellie continue to do the same BS that they have been doing for a decade...

I know a couple of dudes who use that excuse when dealing drugs.

"I might as well sell em, cause if I don't someone else will".
 
It is still not worse than buying like 10 of spyderco sprint runs, and then resell it on ebay for double, not giving a chance to ordinary colectors to buy for fair prices. Thats worse than buying factory seconds from SK. They will be sold either way, why not should I get one If I have a chance.

So it’s ok to be an asshole, as long as there are bigger assholes out there. By that logic, Guy and Ellie aren’t killing anybody, so I guess that makes them pretty stand-up people.

Look, people who knowingly support shitbag conartists like survive, are part of the problem. Not only are you helping them to continue the scam, you also don't mind owning luxury goods made in bad faith, by criminals. The later will not make you popular on an enthusiast forum.

Right. This is a con. Survive are conartists. It is their way of life. Getting rich would be great but that is not the goal. Like most small time criminal conartists, the goal of the con is to live off it, to literally survive off the con and keep it going. They pay their bills, buy food, and have a little fun. And of course, keep the con going. That is the way of the conartist. And in this way, they can sort of fly under the radar. Doesn't seem so bad, right? They aren't driving lambos and living in mansions, not getting rich. Well no, that isn't the goal and would surely put an end to the con....

Yes, it is far worse. S!K is ripping people off, and it's seeming more intentional every day.
Buying sprint runs and reselling is not ripping anyone off.

This. You could make an argument that they were having "growing pains" back in 2015. At this point, it is really hard to ignore how consistently S!K says things that are not accurate.

Those two scenarios are not even remotely similar.
 
I’m surprised people that are owed knives just don’t buy an in stock one and claim the box was empty after it’s delivered hahaha

Seriously though, these factory seconds are just a way to grab more dollars and ignore the outstanding orders where those people no longer have any recourse.
