I see you wanted to buy a GSO 5.1 in MC but weren't sure about doing it. FWIW: they have some factory seconds for sale right now. I can say from experience, that I was able to buy a factory second and had it delivered within 10 days. But as everyone has warned here, DO NOT buy pre-orders with them. I made that mistake and had to get my credit card company to issue a refund after waiting about six months and never receiving it.

At this point I would steer anyone interested in purchasing from S!K elsewhere, N Neo . I think based on what we’ve seen the past couple weeks alone, S!K doesn’t deserve it. S!K knives is not producing anything currently(.) that can’t be matched by other makers.
 
Let me see if I understand factoy seconds... The steel being used was payed for by someone who is never going to get a knife. Then you buy it as a second. Then Survive! puts a claim against Peters, Niagara, Crucible. 1 blade sold 3 times, it's brilliant.

I simply don't understand why it is worth risking it when there are other options from reputable manufacturers. My Architect Knives blade in MC arrived in 4 days and is a beast.

A fraction of the cost.

ESEE, Becker and Architect all figured out they had something to offer, but they needed know-how and experience to get it done. Probably less margins on their end, but the knives come out great. And with regularity.

I may make some. Probably my bushcraft knife. One of the challenges with bohler is availability, so I’m not sure yet.
