So am I reading this right? One of the top heat treat companies anywhere has stopped doing the heat treat for S!K?
My post from 11/2023. Just wanted to pat myself on the back. With all the blame he has placed on Peter's, I am surprised that they have not "fired" S!K yet. He is really throwing them under the bus. Has Peter's commented on this publicly? What about Niagara? I cannot imagine that any supplier would want to be associated with S!Ks circus.
Cancel whatever your outstanding order is, then go find literally any other company and buy a knife.I'm never getting my knife am I![]()
It's not worth the aggravation of trying to get my money back. Shock it up to another lesson learned the hard way. The only other knife I would want would be a Carothers, and they almost impossible to come by too.Cancel whatever your outstanding order is, then go find literally any other company and buy a knife.
You'll get a knife.
It is absolutely worth the aggravation of trying to get your money back...either directly or via the intervention of the credit card company, bank or PayPal.It's not worth the aggravation of trying to get my money back. Shock it up to another lesson learned the hard way. The only other knife I would want would be a Carothers, and they almost impossible to come by too.
Fight for your money back, keep it out of theirs as it keeps the scam going. It's not worth the aggravation of trying to get my money back. Shock it up to another lesson learned the hard way. The only other knife I would want would be a Carothers, and they almost impossible to come by too.
Worry less about the heat treat and more about the existence of the knife in this timeline.I am now officially concerned about the knife I received. Hopefully my K890 was heat treated before they fired him as a customer.
… that isn’t named Bark River.Cancel whatever your outstanding order is, then go find literally any other company and buy a knife.
Quality concerns aside, he'd still have a knife.… that isn’t named Bark River.
What’s the issue with them?… that isn’t named Bark River.
A good bit actually.. but they're still a country mile ahead of S!KWhat’s the issue with them?
Owner has been known to become rather antagonistic if you dare call for support; and blade materials aren’t always what they’re claimed to be. Not as bad as S!K, and yes, you will most likely get your knife in reasonable time. But BRK is second in my list of makers to avoid when looking for a decent fixer. Lots of more reputable and deserving makers out there. What’s the issue with them?
