That's not fair. It's not just Magnacut. Sometimes it's Millet or could be out of spec sheaths. Then there was that time there was bad G10 scales. Plus, don't forget they had to move multiple times. That's not to mention predatory lending. They'll be caught up by Christmas*.

I think the most distressing, albeit unsurprising thing about this whole "big reveal" is the comments on that video. One thing about influencers who play dress-up in any industry, they sure know how to make a show of spinning bullshit into gold.

Yup. It has continually surprised and disappointed me that SO MANY people buy his BS so willingly, despite his decade long track record of lies and failure.
 
I won't watch their videos because I don't want them to get credit for another view in the algorithm.
 
A. Spend time making videos and censoring comments.

B. Focus on making orders complete.

One more reason why I have no use for these ‘influencers’. In fact I loathe the very notion that they consider themselves important enough to have their own title. I guess ‘no talent attention whores’ isn’t quite socially acceptable enough.

I just watched the video and the only thing that looked like any kind of proof was Bob’s unfortunately careless response to redirect Guy’s haranguing.

He’s got two reports back which should be enough to definitively absolve him, but he’s waiting for a 3rd before he publishes anything?

That doesn’t pass the sniff test.

“So here’s that video I told you was going to prove I didn’t mess up, but I’m not going to show you anything and your confirmation bias will do the rest of the work. Also, please tell NSM and Peter’s that I’m breaking up with them, first.”

The way I read the email when I saw it was that Bob, washing his hands of Survive!, was saying that if there is a perceived issue with the steel, that it should be taken up with Crucible. (Assuming this is what you are referring to. I haven't seen and will not seek out the videos.)

I don't think it was meant as an admission or evidence...but that is simply my take. That some guy might try to use it to their advantage would not surprise me, however.

That’s also how I read it, based on what I know about Guy’s never-ending pestering. A true W. C. Fields moment. The unfortunate part is that it can be read as confirmation of an issue, which is currently the only evidence Guy is publishing.

Pretty weak no matter how you read it, though.
