By 2016, they were in way deep underwater. At this point, Guy putting up his new wife to fade the heat was just sickening to me.

In 2015, Guy began his "Starter Campaign" to raise capital to increase production capacity - his words.

Then see the 2016 posts above by Ellie followed by this statement in 2016. And now Guy wants to claim they are a new start up in manufacturing?


There has been a lot of focus here on our decision to do preorders which seems to have led to this idea that we dont have any other plans for the future, and are on an unsustainable path. For folks not familiar with SURVIVE!, I can see where it might look like we are just trying to collect as much of your hard earned money as possible. I would like to assure everyone, that couldnt be further from the truth.

We are working to increase our production capabilities. Ive mentioned several times in our subforum that we are working on a few different ideas to help us meet demand. We cant go into any further details right now because weve noticed that we have been getting some attention in the industry so we arent ready to throw out all of our secrets publicly. We are actively looking for employees. There are also behind the scene innovations going on within our own workshop which help improve Guys efficiency while also decreasing the occurrence of Factory 2nds. With every mistake, we learn and adjust. That could mean changing our SOPs or adding extra notes to POs. We are always looking for solutions. Folks will also notice an increase in prices to adequately pay for the extra time and attention these new production knives receive.

It also highlights in neon flashing lights an endless list of excuses, which go back to at least 2014 - 2015.

What is reasonable and legal?

Hi, I have several 100% payment up front (pre orders) for production knives (not custom) from an established respected knife maker. This company's lead time was .. "there is no guaranteed lead time" Because this "pre order pre payment" system is only a year old there was no history to base...

Most likely they are available now unlike Survive Scam. lol....... If Guy gets away with this then I see him popping up with a new pitch about how all is well and send in starter money now.

That is when I started having trouble with Survive is in 2016. The lies got worse and he never intended to make those knives. I take that back he did make some and sold them as 2nds , 3rds, and ugly betty, ect... and the pre-order crowd never got their knives.
 
Using "Investment" as he shilled for money above and beyond the value of a knife just screams Ponzi Scheme. 10 years of floundering and failure confirms the observation.
 
I folded and watched Guy's last two YouTube videos.
In his latest video he mentions a lot of stuff that sound like excuses or trying to garner sympathy.

Even the money lenders are predators. Guy just can't catch a break.

As an update for those not in the Facebook group, there are still people filtering in that are asking about what’s going on and seem to be unaware that Survive is kaput. I’m surprised the mods are letting those posts through but people are finding out one way or another.
 
I do believe there is the possibility the PA and ID attorney general’s offices turn this over to the DOJ, etc based on the length of time 2010/2012 pre orders +, number of possible claimants, and dollar value of those pre-orders unfilled.

There’s tons of information we don’t have access to. Mainly the number of people reaching out to the AG. I was in contact with one person who was determined to take Guy’s operation down with the AG’s office. I don’t know if he is one of those who pushed hard.
 
lets not forget everyone, there's "some complaints" that have brought the PA AG office down on S!K.
He'd be doing fine if it wasn't for "some complaints". And The League of Nefarious Knife Suppliers, of course.

Does he mean money borrowed from an actual bank that expects interest to be paid? So predatory. It's very different from the interest-free small business loans he's used to getting from customers.
