Tacticlol Knives II: The Return of Ridiculous

don't forget the descriptor of the people who make and use them... ya need something like "149% hero" or "for awesome, by awesome" or "tougher than you wish you were" or something like that... most likely all of those written in barbed wire all around the full page add.

"Operated by elite operators in elite operations, elitely"

Umm the Busse Battle Spatula gave me a chuckle. I guess there is only one in existence though.

I'm sure these will trigger someone... but the prices these command and the utter ridiculousness of them make me scratch my head.

A Sniper Bladeworks DMF and Medford Micro Praetorian is on my want-list. It's definitely not for everyone. The prices are high, but that's another discussion.

In all honesty, this is what I find Tacticlol, and he has a cult following here... The horrendous creations of Busse. People pay ridiculous premiums for these useless things.

I agree that Busse makes some ugly knives but I disagree on those if you're refering to the swords.

What I see in those are indestructible fun toys, which is why people love them.

I'd love to have a gladius made out of INFI, although I agree they're expensive as fugg.

As for the smaller models, they all have the same aesthetic style and from experience they're a jackpot. One model can be excellent and another one suck bad in terms of ergonomics and usefulness.

This knife is the new choice of operational warriors throughout the globe! Designed by a Navy SEAL with the Dark Ops design chief, it features all the critical items for a Modern Spec-Ops knife. The Shadow offers an extended blade length for penetrating Comm-bloc frag vests with an accelerated spearpoint tip and sharpened foretip for maximum penetration. The top edge features a bone breaker and a radical, self-cleaning BlastRip™ saw for carving survival notches in spears and anchoring notches for detonation cord.

A pat pend. BarbSnap™ cutter allows for rapid notching and snapping of interdiction wires in entry ops. An abbreviated top-hilt/bottle opener works with a new serrated palmstop, allowing for a reverse grip with an astonishing six linear inches of surface area! The Shadow features a corrosion resistant finish designed to take the saltwater immersion often involved in SEAL operations. The handle is made of a low-durometer, high tensile aramid composite that is impervious to everything from aviation fuel to Al Qaeda body fluids. The handle is thinner and wider for greater mechanical advantage with deep finger grooves orienting the blade axis of the knife in the hand and dramatically increasing effective grip surface.

A prominent WhipLok™ finger notch provides an axis point for hacking as well as 200 degrees of grip area, ideal with wet hands or when using gloves. The handles are field replaceable to blend with woodland, desert or black camo schemes. Quartz impregnated inserts provide extreme circumstances grip enhancement and are replaceable should decontamination be required. The Shadow utilizes the same CTV2™ Blade Steel and CryoHardening techniques as the StratoFighter™ Folders! The hilts do not protrude forward effectively reducing the length of the blade.

Hollow grinding lends to greater cutting and slashing effectiveness. Deep grooves keep the weight of the full .250 inch thick blade properly balanced in the hand. The black Titanium CarboNitride (TiCN) vacuum deposited finish is designed to shed the micro-fine airborne sand of Middle-Eastern deserts.

"Marketing"... :cool:;):thumbup::rolleyes::D

Woah that's a nice collection. So I got one of the AK's, I suppose it's not very practical, tried chopping fallen branches with it. I guess it will shine when the dead have arisen though....

LOL! succinct irony.

I never said I'm not one of those guys :D

I can carry a Praetorian in my pocket daily. I can't carry a Busse sword every day.

I think we can all agree that just because something is ridiculous, stupid, and nearly useless, it can still be a thing we really really really want.

Just because something is "tacticlol" doesn't mean we can't enjoy owning it - it's just good to be intellectually honest enough to laugh at yourself. Heck, I carry a Cold Steel Master Tanto in 3V with some regularity. Realistically, I could easily get by with just the Spyderco Roadie on my keychain, but it's way more fun to use a ELITE TACTICAL INDESTRUCTIBLE POWDER METALLURGY TANTO

You just gotta accept that your inner 13-year-old mall ninja is really fun to concede to :)

There are endless things I can't carry in my pockets, but that doesn't make them less fun.

Or just get bigger pocketses

Indeed. I just ordered a bunch of donut lanyard beads. I'm sure that's tacticlol too, but I like donuts :D

Agreed

What bugs me, is when funny threads like this, turn into hateful bashing. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but only time will tell.

Probably doesn't qualify as tacticlol, but I do think it scores some points in the ridiculous category..
Came across this while searching for knives with bone scales:
