The Bears' Den--Shirogorov Showcase

But I see a bunch of people complain about the price and compare with others knives but never own one ‍♂️But rarely I see complain of the people that own them

A new batch of ten CD “Unihati-F95” Shiro/CRK unique graphic collabs just showed up on lottery at the Shiro main US dealer. They’re not cheap, but they’re definitely beautiful.

Eh i wouldnt call my hation on some whole other level or just blindingly better. Id say it is in weird spot that its overpriced but i dont regret getting one and id like another. Other knives ive had for much cheaper compare very well against both my hation and my f3 i had, easily 90% the knife the shiros for about half to 2/3 the cost. Theres a few details to the shiros that could be better imo and their price point makes those details matter more but overall they are very well though out cutting tools, superb really. No wasted space and the most cutting edge that can fit with good or better ergos and great edge geometry.

When i lower the angle of my edges on all my knives the edge bevel gets a bit wider. The shiros blade are ground to cut and behind the edge is lean, so my edge bevels just dont get as dramatically wider on the shiros. Which makes it easier to reprofile which i always end up doing. The less m390 i have to remove the better.

Id love to know more about the company and their process and specific details about tolerances and fit and all that good stuff. Like how CRK or Sal with spyderco are very public and engaging on what it takes for them to do what they do behind the scenes.

I wouldnt rule out another but a shiro isnt the next on the list its not so much better that shiros are going to replace other knives i have or want to get. The price is a big factor and there are tons of excellent knives out there to consider. Eventually id like to get an f3 with micarta like i had, it was pretty compelling but i traded it for my hation which i like a good bit also.

Both overpriced but worth trying out, its hard to describe.

^^ DAMN! That is one truly and magnificently polished blade! It took me a minute to work my poor old eyes through what seemed to be an optical illusion before I figured it out. After recovering from the optical illusion exercise, I finally noticed the belt buckles and leather holster. Such is the stuff that my dreams are made of...........

It's true. I just bought my second Shiro. But they're both users so I doubt I'll collect another. Since acquiring the HatiOn Lite I've gotten interested in other maker's models along similar lines or at least similar size. Like my newer Cheburkov Strizh.

I didn't find those but this one got my attention.
