Redrum was one of those things that had escaped my notice and I was quite puzzled by your post until I googled it. That led me to figure out your sig line too. At first I'd thought you'd simply been affected by too much interaction with filtrum.

The key to getting titanium anodizing colors to pop is full spectrum (natural lighting), since it's a clear oxide layer that refracts light and not actually colored

Reminds me of the first time I flipped open my Neon Zero, the knife slipped and the tip dropped about 6", through my pants and boxer shorts and about 1/8" of the tip wet into my thigh. Luckily I had crazy glue nearby. I now have a little scar about 5 months later from the day I received my first Shirogorov.

For my own part, I carried and used my NeOn UL on S30V Shirogorov Saturday.

While I have Shiros in a variety of blade steels including one Vanax 37 and three in M390, I'm perfectly happy with my one in 440C and two in S30V. All take really keen edges and even the "lesser" steels perform excellently.
