Man, that does suck. Did the insert come out as the result of a drop or did it just come loose and fall out? Your knife looks like my Hati on washers, but mine has a screw holding it in. For myself I'd probably disassemble and try pressing it in with a vise with jaw protection while keeping the detent ball out of play. You might write to Josh at REK (he's got a knifemaker's forum here). I don't think he's taking on any grinding, mod, or repair work currently as he's concentrating on making knives, but he might be able to help you out or at least offer some advice.

I don't think you'd have much luck shipping to Russia given the current sanctions and embargoes. R1 doesn't ship back and forth, they just pass knives along and pick back up at Shiro attended knife shows anyway. You could try PMing Tom the Shiro rep over at their pages at USN.
 
Taken it down and to my eyes it looks untampered with. It fits back in fine, but after a dozen or so openings it came out twice more. For as long as I’ve had it there’s been no blade play, it’s been perfect. Then it started to develop some play a week ago while I was whittling a stick. Today I was trying to correct the play and after half a dozen reassemblies it just fell out onto my desk top. Followed by my jaw.

I’ll give R1 a shot. Josh crossed my mind but like you said he’s focused on his stuff. Doesn’t hurt trying him either. Thanks for the suggestions. BALLS!
 
Hello all, are there show side scales available anywhere for the Hati Gen 3s? The shiny black cf is nice but after owning 50 different TRM atom scales I do end up jones'in for a change now and then. (Apologies in advance if this is a dumb question)
 
There are different color scales available on Instagram. You will have to do a search. I'm not sure if we can list the vender name here as they are not a paying member.

No. Quite different. Hard for my arthritic old hands to operate. Can't touch the lock bar at all.
Super smooth though once you get it moving.

I read your initial impressions, have they changed with time?
