Shiro explained the name HatiOn as a portmanteau of the Hati for its "hybrid scales" and On from Neon due to its size. I assume that the name Neon comes from the small fish of the same name as it is the smallest Shiro. What the heck does HatiOn or NeOn even mean? Someone please edumacate me!
I had a similar problem a few years ago sharpening my Small Insingo Sebenza where there would be a noticeable flat spot at the tip of the secondary bevel after sharpening it with my Sharpmaker. A Wicked Edge cured that problem before I began buying Shiros.
