The "Whatever" Thread

Was planning on posting some pictures of the morel mushrroms we found today quite a nice bunch ... but ... have you ever had someone do a bonehead thing? purely accidental n can laugh at it now but my brother's in the dog house for awhile ...

we took the boat went across the lake to a nice secluded area was full of mushrooms. And all excited as we were getting back in the boat ... my brother knocked my pack overboard and camera and cell phone and a Mora knife along with a few other things sank like a rock. Ok you may insert one or two swear words here as I may have also ... so was a great day with my brother and a great bunch of morels ... but no pictures to share.

I was sooo happy I hadn't received my Personal Camp Knive from John yet or I may have had it along ... so all in all a cheap Mora and insured phone and camera can be replaced.

And it's definately one for the memory books.
So what..you can't swim JJ.
Hehe, just busting yer chops.

At least you have a payback on tab with your brother.
And good that the PCK wasn't in the pack, that would have been worth the dive.

Lol ... yeah I can swim but water temps being maybe 50 degrees and so far from home I thought better of it ... took me a minute to talk myself out of it ... now if had been that beautiful new knife ... well I woulda been diving in my birthday suit ...

it's probably my fault - last friday I decided it had been warm enough long enough that it was safe to drain the furnace. (boiler system)

hey all, i came down sicker then a homeless dog in winter last night, not up to much today. thought i'd mention it because I know I've got some projects on the go with a few of you.

Your first project is to get some rest and get better, then tend to the less important projects.

I'll be spending some time this weekend "cleaning up" my website. I've been told by several people that I have too many models that are way too similar. Time to get rid of some.

Put them in a folder of "past designs" or "other available models". Not everyone is put off by variety.

I agree. Past models that you are still willing to make should be saved somewhere. I know that when I was looking to buy my first Jk I found pictures of a couple of "older" models that I wanted, but since they weren't on the website I didn't know they were possibilities. It is a fine line to walk between giving people enough options and providing so many it causes decision paralysis.

They're like your children, John. I think they are all special creations to you in some way. When your kids grow up and move out of the house, you don't pack up their pictures, right? If you are able to put them in another page of the website, as was suggested by Jeff, that would be neat. If you are truly not going to make them any more, you could have a "retired designs" section, that would still allow you to display pictures of them while cleaning up the site.
