The "Whatever" Thread

I think a separate page is a good idea, I'll go with that, except for the Cassam Hawk, that one will be gone. I have no material on hand for one, and will not be ordering any.

Put them in a folder of "past designs" or "other available models". Not everyone is put off by variety.

They're like your children, John. I think they are all special creations to you in some way. When your kids grow up and move out of the house, you don't pack up their pictures, right? If you are able to put them in another page of the website, as was suggested by Jeff, that would be neat. If you are truly not going to make them any more, you could have a "retired designs" section, that would still allow you to display pictures of them while cleaning up the site.

I have a solid Black G10 grip coming from Hogue for my LCR.
My thinking is the friction from the rubber on the stock grip(which is made by Hogue also) is what causes(or contributes to) the pain in the web between my thumb and trigger finger.
Hopefully the smooth G10 will alleviate or at least lessen, said pain with full power loads.

Stock grips with ribs where the web of my hand rests.

And the solid G10 with no ribbing.

Pics borrowed from Hogue's site.

The solid G10 will offer a smoother, no drag draw from a pocket at least.
Can't wait to test 'em.

Iris and Rebecca now sick to. See you in a few guys. This might rake a while. At hospital with iris now.

I switched from rubber Hogues to wood Hogues on my .44 magnum S&W shorty, they made a world of difference.

Yup,I've read for years that for hard kicking guns smooth and solid is the way to go.
I don't know why they put rubber on the little kickers.(dumbasses)
I do love the Hogue rubber grips for a full sized revolver though, very comfy.

Kind of funny, I can't even remember that Bowie! Makers membership on "the other forum" has expired, I am not renewing it.

Why is it that people think a smaller knife should be so much cheaper than a medium size knife. The only cost savings is a few dollars on the steel cost, handles cost the same, it takes about the same amount of time to make, and you need to be just as carefull grinding. Everyone seems to think it should only cost half as much.

It is a problem for sure. Especially when it's only a matter of a few inches difference. Now the difference between you making a 3" blade knife vs a sword I would think would add to the cost, but not when it's only 3-5" difference.

Any one else remember when this forum used to be active? Kind of feel like I'm wasting my time taking pictures and posting. It can't be because everyone is out enjoying the nice weather because the weather sucks !

I check here about a dozen times a day. And ive purchased two knives within a month.

Its purrty darn active on my end. :D

I mean post wise, there is just not much posting going on here anymore. I really look forward to reading new posts, but don`t seem to be many anymore.

I have this subforum open all day at work and refresh it pretty actively. Really it's the only place I go on the forum anymore.

Weather here is just awful, it just keeps on raining. Down south in Houston they are starting to flood, I am hoping it slows down so we don't get any flooding in my area.
