The "Whatever" Thread

I wish the Gathering crowd were with me today. Wind in the trees, crackling fire, wind sheer on the river and not a sole around for a mile in any direction. I am in the zone today!

The closest place around here to build a fire is McKinley Woods, but that`s 20 miles away, and the part we go to is closed when it snows. I`m jealous!

Yeah, I'm pretty lucky. I'm five miles from home and 1.5 miles from the car. Got here around noon-thirty and if my "supplies" hold out I'll be here till sunset.

Got another 4" of snow last night, temps will be sub 0 the rest of the week. As a side note, I`m firmly convinced I saw Cooper`s twin sister yesterday, looked exactly like him, with longer hair. Even Connie commented about it.

We got more wind than snow last night. Damn near white out on the way back from work. Hard to guess a total, but I doubt it was more than an inch.

Maybe I have a female doppelganger.:D

I do have a sister, but she is a couple years younger than me, and shall we say... much more petite.:D

I was thinking the same thing. That, or you were dressed in drag! BTW-package arrived here today.

On another note, the weather was warm enough for me to finally clean the head of the Buck I killed in November. Here are some pics of my European Mount I did, not bad for my first go round! Sorry for the bad cell phone pics!

Really nice job & nice buck too.
It looks like he bumped the one brow tine when it was still in velvet & growing eh.

Thanks! He's no monster but I've always wanted to do one of these mounts and I felt like this was big enough for me to spend the time, definitely happy with it!
Yes, it is pretty cockeyed. When he had a full scalp and hair you could barely see it since it practically laid on top of his head.
