Nice one, Peter! That zebrawood finishes nicely. Soldering bolsters, a good thing to know I like the work that you are doing, and you have a much better eye for combining materials than I do.

Nice, Todd! I sharpened one of those 501's for my neighbor a couple years ago. Seemed like a pretty handy knife.

I spent the weekend at the lake with the family. Floated around in the water and drank.:D Had some fantastic Greek style pizza before making the 4 hour trek home so I can go to work tomorrow.

Hey John, I got the kitchen knife in the mail a few days ago but have been away from the interwebz. I like it. Photos soon.

sounds like a great weekend Coop. i think it's the shape of the entire knife (for me). slight curve from butt to tip. it makes it a good cutter. or, at least it makes me think it is a great cutter. i really like the feel of it.

looking forward to seeing some pics of the kitchen knife.

P.S. i was outside all day. now, i'm so tired...buuut am up drinking some rum. :p
 
I'm up drinking beer lol. Today is the start of my 10 day vacation. Going to holiday world with the little one tomorrow. Should be awesome.
 
Here's a mod I finished over the weekend. It's a Schrade 175 pattern. I slapped some amber carved stag bone on it. I really like the way it came out, now I just have to figure out what to do with it, LOL.

Don't normally produce this much this quickly but I'm trying to get some stuff done before we leave for a vacation at the end of this week

it's Amendoin (ybarra) wood form Andy again :) this time on an old hickory, brass pins and lanyard tube (why not), I also tried the same finish I put on the folders, since it'll most likely be a kitchen and used knife. Seemed to go well.

TPVT, that's a sweet gun! I feel the 501 is the best edc knife that Buck makes, perfect size and well put together. I own the Buck Heritage 501 in S30V and Micarta, one of my favorite knives.
 
Peter, that should make a great kitchen cutter/slicer!
 
I need to spend more time in this thread. There's some great stuff here. Nice pistola, a dream Schrade and super cool butcher on this page alone.
