tundratrader-where are my knives?

Maybe you can get Zach to re-send it. I've been off and put a 3 instead of an 8 for instance, and then you can't track it. Maybe he sent a number with an error in it? Just trying to give Zach the benefit of the doubt since this is so unbelievable!!

I am, been waiting slowly. I told him I'd rather have the knife instead of the money. Waiting for it to show up is all. I told him if I get the money back and then the knife shows up, I will resend the money asap. But it's been a while now is all.

It is a good thing to remember that the PO does not have to scan a Del con until delivery. My PO scans it in when I mail it but they have told me before that many will never be scanned until it is delivered.

This mess is one reason I will not ship to some countries, and if the buyer is not wanting express, insured shipping with full amount declared I make sure to let them know that I am in no way responsible for the item after it leaves my hands at the PO.Also the USPS does not offer insurance to some places.
Every sale outside the US I have ever made I have been asked to put camp tool and a low value on the customs tag.

It could be that yours is stuck somewhere,it is shipping from AK in winter.
I have traded with him before and it went prefect.

Had the buyer paid non gift, didnt get it, and filed a dispute, the buyer would win the case in a heart beat because the seller has no proof of shipment. Im not saying he didnt ship it, but in paypal's eyes, it dont matter how good your online rep is. I think its BS the buyer has to suck this one up with no true evidence of shipment, note to buyers, dont send $ as gift unless you can completely trust the seller to have your back or are willing to get hosed.

You are actually incorrect, the postal worker would get into trouble for not scanning it. The package was insured so Zach will file a claim but if he can't prove he dropped it off, why would the post office pay?
And if they did, wouldn't that be a huge scam that everyone would be done, printing out labels and never shipping them and just filing for insurance claims...

They do scan the insurance label. It is the Delivery confirmation that I am talking about.
I am really not positive on it,just passing on what I was told by my local post master on a couple occasions when a package I had coming never showed in the system.

I will not be held accountable for your choice of shipment. You are asking me and the USPS to track something which has no tracking. It had no insurance as it was valued at 40.00 dollars. End of story.

My last post. If you or ANY seller states they will not be held accountable, then it is MANDATORY that the seller at the very least be able provide proof of shipment upon request. The buyer can knowingly take on ALL the risks in order to make a deal happen, BUT IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM DOES THAT EXCUSE YOU OR ANYONE ELSE FROM NOT AT THE VERY LEAST PROVIDING PROOF OF SHIPMENT regardless if its trackable or insured. I think its wrong if the buyer has to take a $600 loss when he does not even no for a fact that it was shipped. If this was LK's sale everyone including you & me would be throwing major shite fits right now.

I have a question. The buyer and seller both agreed to ship the knife improperly to save on customs and postal fees. Exactly how much was the savings?

Yep.

I really want to found a parcel!
And if she comes to me, I just tell everybody on the forum.
And then I will apologize.
But after half a year.
The seller does not want to communicate.
And with the first month, I ask a copy of postal receipt.
Please go to the post office and obtain a duplicate receipt.
Please open an investigation in the mail.
Please make a request in the mail.
tundratrader-first said that goes to the post office. But in six months he did not done. Why ?

I would have and have done the past at least kept the receipt.
I have a few on my desk right now that are a couple years old.

Is there any way to get ahold of the customs tag #. That is scanned upon shipping and would prove that it had been shipped.
Tundratader,if you go to your PO and ask they may still have their copy of the customs tag on file.I know they keep a copy but not sure for how long.
I all ways send the buyer the customs tag #. It is not meant to be used as tracking but in many cases can be.

Who in the heck are you noob? You have 2 posts. One looking for a knife and the other is quoted above, claiming that you know Zach intimately and he's guilty of several felony crimes. Produce evidence or don't post that stuff.

This is exactly why I started my international shipping woes thread. I have no idea where the receipt is for this transaction. I hardly ever keep receipts. I keep the dc, insurance and signature confirmation slips until item is delivered. This was a customs form and first class shipping. I am not about to reimburse a transaction that is 5 months old. Since this PayPal has told me that any transaction over 350 needs signature confirmation or registered mail. I will not again lie on a customs form. It is ludicrous for both parties to value a high dollar item as a 40 dollar used camping tool.

Regardless of how new I am, Tundratrader admits to doing all of those things all on his own. I don't know him at all, but he confessed to 1)Lying 2)Filling out a customs form falsely, and thus helping to cheat customs out of money
3)It is now quite clear to everyone here that there is no proof that he ever shipped the knife. Again, those are all his words, not mine. Go back and read it for yourself in post #22. I believe his own words are proof enough. Then you are free to go away. Thanks.

Sorry Sammer, yer right. :foot: I've known of Zach for a long time and on 2 different forums. It's easy to take up for somebody that you "think" you know. Right now, barring a miracle it's looking really bad tor tundra trader. I remember him getting the knives in question and being so happy about them. Then he flips them in a few months - really bad form for the knives in question.

Makes me shake my head and question how ya can trust some people and they turn out to be BS'ers. I hope TTrader gets something to prove his end of the story. I'd hate to remember him as a scamming, BS'ing, knife flipper.

Hey, don't worry about it. I'm pretty sure I would feel the same way if it was one of my buddies in question. It always sucks when these things happen, but I know from experience it's particularly crappy when it looks like one of your friends has done somebody dirty. Let's be glad we're having this conversation over a computer. We would probably be regretting it right now if we had had this conversation face to face. Now we can just laugh it off. Good form on your part though. Thank you, and I hope it works out for everybody.

After all of the business I have done here I can't believe how quick folks are to right people off. As for the receipt issue. I didnt throw the receipt away purposely. I just don't keep many receipts in general. I should have chose my words a little better. Kronman didnt ask for a copy of the receipt right away. It was weeks later if I remember correctly by that time I couldn't find it. I was not trying to lie or cheat Roman on this deal. Roman at one point told me he was involved as a firefighter if that is true and he can prove it I am willing to split the cost of a new XM18 with him if that will help clear my name here.

I have had several issues lately with the post office here. The Kronman knife is a different story. I am damn sure not the first person here that has been asked to lie on a customs form. I have had several click and ship packages flat disappear. They were not scanned in or delivered. I am filing claims for all of them. I have lost out big time in the last few months. I have 2 DLC 24's that are gone and because click and ship through PayPal only allows 500 dollars insurance. I lost the knives and the 300 dollars difference if I even get that back. Now i am also paying for claims through paypal. Someone posted earlier about going through the line and making sure packages get scanned for click and ship. I have never had issue when I do that. I have bought and shipped thousands and thousands of dollars worth of knives and flashlights and never had issues until recently. I do not know what more I can do about this at this point. For onlooker's case I don't have the extra money to just pay it back right away. The only reason I sold the knives was to pay bills and I sold them at non scalper prices. The only reason I sold 2 was because onlooker sent money but didn't post in the thread. I sold the second one for less than I paid so you can hardly call that flipping. I had another member here post he would take it and then got a pm or email from onlooker and I thought it was the same person so I gave him my PayPal address. I actually had three people pay and refunded one right away and then sold my last 24 to onlooker because it was a giant mess on my end. Now both of those knives are gone and I am having to fight with the USPS about getting my insurance money back. The USPS admitted that not all click and ship packages get scanned and that they had several issues that week. That does not explain why they weren't delivered. I had the same thing happen with a camera i sold back in December. Not scanned not delivered. I am still battling the USPS on that. This only happens with click and ship which I won't do again.

I have not tried to lie, cheat or steal from anyone on this forum. The people posting here that dont know me and have never done business with me have no right to call me out for a situation that they are not involved with. Not keeping a receipt is not unethical or illegal it is just a fact of the case of me being a busy person. I am a firefighter and EMT here in Homer Alaska so that should say something about my morals and values. Because of this deal with Kronman which admittedly is partially my fault my name is now ruined on this forum. I have done hundreds of transactions with people all over the world on this forum. I cannot control what the USPS does.

What more can I do at this point?

Who ships an expensive knife anywhere, let alone Russia and keeps (loses all) no documentation? And while you are not the first person asked to lie on a Customs document, you are still a crook for doing so.

Lie on Customs forms, and then lose receipts, irresponsible seller

and stilll a crook..........................

If you were a Police Officer and I was your boss and the post where you readily admit to falsifying Customs docs reached my desk, you Sir would be in a world of poop.

If Tundra can't PROVE he shipped the item....he owes the buyer ALL of the cash back.

To not make an effort to get said reciept, from PO....smells fishy to me. To not keep a reciept for a $600 transaction...sounds like BS. If you're so busy fighting fires, you wouldn't have time to pitch the reciepts...bad form.

Not saying the knife was never shipped - it probably was - but, not having any proof of shipment and no insurance going to Russia (or anywhere incl US) on an expensive knife is not a very smart thing to do. At the very least; it is the seller's responsibility to prove it was shipped.

Wow.. A crook for not keeping receipts.. That's pretty judgmental. I really wonder why some people gotta bring a gas can to a fire.

Tundra,

I am with you on this. Go to the Salty Dog and have a beer.

I would bet this knife is on some Russian customs agent.
