Week-end Post, What Are You Doing

My 5 month old granddaughter died. I'll be attending her funeral. She had several birth defects but her cause of death is a mystery. The ME was headed out on vacation, so he said no autopsy was necessary. My daughter is really devastated, as is my son in law.

Heck of a way to spend a weekend.

August 24, 2007 Thank you Fred Rowe for stopping by my Knife Shop. It was great seeing you for the first time. Well this Saturday I will be working on one of my new knives. I heat treated them before Fred got here. What are you all doing this week end. And yes will be getting more wood in this weekend as well. Hey Fred stop by anytime and we will chat more about knives.

Well this weekend I will be doing some yard work around moms house as well as moving a bunch of stuff. The state auctioneers are coming here tomorrow morning to take a whole lot of stuff from grandpas estate (mostly tools) and taking them back to organize, catalog, and price them so that they can do a huge auction in October for us. Sunday, I will head back home and before I leave I have to take the king size mattress and frame out of the master bedroom and throw it onto the brush pile since brush pickup is next week. Then I get to try out my new bow on some gar or carp or cats. I have already shot it a few times at the range and its sweet. If yall haven't already seen the pics of it you can see them in the Bowfishing for Gar thread.

watch out shooting those Cats,
you could wind up wearing one of those arrows up your Arse by a disgruntle cat owner :D

You do realize that shooting a cat with a bow is considered cruelty to animals and you can be heavily fined / tossed in the can for a few months, dont you?

There are some things you just cant do. Read a bit about what you can and cant shoot before you go killing things Jacob.

Mom's in town from California to see her grandson. She's a cryer, so this trip will see plenty of tears(the good kind).

Hey, Jake, come by my place and I'll set you up with a "cat Safari," free of charge, with a gauranteed three kills.

I have about $300.00 + In my cat
that's why mentioned arrows up your Arse :o,
I supose would that be cruelty to dumb animals too :D :D

I'm referring to catfish. Not cats as in felines. :jerkit::jerkit::confused:

Well I did not go bowfishing, but I went spearfishing instead. Wife and I went out freediving for the first time with our brand new guns and tried to shoot up some nice sheephead. Well, I shot one, undersize by a sliver, had to go back. Wife did not hit her mark. But for the first time going down to 20' was pretty cool. I am going back to get those dinner plate sized suckers tomorrow!!

Jacob,

Gar and Carp are a dead giveaway that you are talking about "Catfish".

I'm also a feline owner :D and I'm not talking about my wife,, after 23 years, she's the owner ;)

Just a lazy weekend. Got a new "used" vehicle, a 2005 Dodge Dakota 4X4, did some Saturday driving around with Linda.

Had fiber optics installed in my house for my PC, TV and phone a week ago so we watched 300 last night.

Today, I'll probably drop off one of my guitars to get a fret job done to it, after 25 years of heavy playing the frets are quite worn, especially at the lower frets. That being said, if you tried to hone the frets to an even level you'd need to bring the other frets down to the level of the lowest fret, which will bring "all" the frets very close to the fret board.

It wasn't a save, it was the truth. Get off your high horse. :jerkit::jerkit::eek::D

horsehigh horse  no way
you left yourself wide open on that one My friend :)
I'm not the only one that saw it that way as you can see..
you see how things in type can get screwed up if you don't give all the true facts and details,,..leaving the mind to invent what it will ..:o
things in type get misconstrued very easily, AMHIK :(

Well this weekend marks the opening day of dove season and I plan to do some dove hunting and also some more bowfishing. Here is a pic of a gar I shot just yesterday from the banks of the Medina River. Yes it is 4 feet long.

you have a great time

I guess I have to look for a new car :grumpy: the old bonnie has 366 K on it and the trans is starting to act up.. and as luck would have it..
the other bonnie I have, the trans from it is at the trans place and he's screwed it up some how, we knew the drive hub was gone and we just didn't have 4th gear a simple problem everything else was like new in it,, but now it don't have drive or reverse and now it's tearing up the drive clutches, he don't have a clue to what he did wrong..
it's been in and out twice now.. I'm a little up set with the guy now, it was suppose to be fixed last weekend and it's back in his shop again 3 times two weeks later

any one have a good used 1999 T465E trany for sale

super nice fish Jacob. I did some fish shooting of my own on Sat but my sheephead was nowhere the size of yer fish! Mine was good eating too.

Oh yea, what I am doing. I finished a fillet earlier in the week, finishing up another, have to reset the pins cause I do not pay attention. Stitch a sheath for said offending knife. Monday I got an invite to go out on a boat to freedive a couple spots (hopefully not too deep) to shoot some snapper and grouper. Freedive spearfishing is the bomb. It's so like hunting, except you hold your breath!

Saturday, September 1st...Got the 220V out to the shop for the KMG! Made a nice work top, lag bolted into the wall to mount it all on and got it mounted up and running.

Sunday, September 2nd..."Honeydo" day. Changing some of the landscaping in the yard. Enlarging some flower beds, etc. Not sure exactly what we're doing, I just know that the wife has "inspiration". I usually have a sore back after one of these types of days. I think I'm going to be moving and remaking some landscaping walls.

Monday, September 3rd...Grind some blades!!!!!!!!

Ickie

Hi Ya'll

Saturday, forged a sword to bring to Ashokan, Saturday evening did a bunch of ibuprofin cause of sore shoulder from forging a 20" sword:eek:. Also, Linda and I went for a cycle ride .

Sunday morning, started grinding the sword. Linday and I are going for a cycle ride :D.

Monday, I'll grind on that sword a little more. In the afternoon we're going to the Irish Festival, so I can have a few jars of Guiness :D and have some fun dancing to the Glengarry Bhoys a Celtic band from Ontario.
