Week-end Post, What Are You Doing

Looks like the Smithy will be open tomorrow. Have Jon and Charro coming over. Probably Nathan too.;)
Nathan, went turkey hunting last weekend and shot himself in the foot.:eek: I bet that was the biggest turkey he ever shot. HEHEHEHEHEHE!!!!
 
Workin on the press most of the weekend.. Yard work if the rain let's up (I'm prayen for rain)... IG that boy Nathan has got the worst luck..You rubbin off on him?
 
Gonna be teaching bladesmithing at a local SCA event (maybe even sell something too)
currently baking bread for my mother for Mothers day in between finishing up projects

Jeez!:eek: before too long he won't be "Toecutter" or "Ankleburner" anymore, he'll be plain ole "Peg-Leg":D:D:D::eek:

Working out in the shop this week-end. Cleaning up and working on a order to get out. Hope to see the rain get out of here, so I can get the new roof on the home. Also, been working on the yard. ----------:D

Tonight, a good size jam session with the Lightning Brothers.

I was only kidding about Nathan shotting himself.:D But, listen to this bad luck. The Lil Dog Troy that I am babysitting, my dog Jaguar ( The Keeshonden) bit him and popped out his eye. Jaguar is going in on Monday to be snipped and I told the Vet I am bring the knife and it will be a dull one.;)
 
I'm going to company picnic today.... they expect about 11000 employees and family members to be there, last year they had about 9000 people through the gates. All the free food, drinks, games, rides and probably the best fireworks show around here (even better than the Air Force Base's 4th of July show.) I'll put it this way, the company that puts the picnic on for us brings 10 semi's full of stuff, 2 reefers of food, 2 semis of Coke products and has about 200-300 people working it.

Sunday I hope to get at least 1 knife handled and finish up my EDC.

Going around this week-end getting all the things I need for the up coming job here at the home. This is just some of the things I will be picking up this week-end. Hope to get started on the roof the 1st or 2st week of June. How's your week-end---------:)

My GF is going to be gone saturday noontime until sunday noontime, so I am going to do a nice marathon shop session and work about 12 hours Saturday and 6 on sunday. I hope to whip out a nice batch of EDC blades with hamons and a matching set in damascus....i'll be happy to just get them all cut, profiled and heat treated...and finish a few that are partially done in the meantime.....

In reality, I'll get then cut and profiled, ground, play some playstation, surf the net, go to the shooting range and wonder on sunday why I didnt get as much done as I hoped....

We will be setting around with family and friends this week-end. It will be BBQ here with Ice Cold Beer. Hope you all have a good one as well. :thumbup:
 
Kook and Marleen are coming over this afternoon, we're going to see the new Indiana Jones movie, then out to dinner.

Tomorrow Linda and I will take the bike down to a house a friend is renting at the ocean (Atlantic) to do some visiting. Another friend and his wife from NH will be at the rental house also. The couple from NH are about 40 minutes from Laconia and when I ride up for bike week I usually stay at his house. :thumbup:

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, Linda has a honey do list about a mile long, I will be plugging away at that also. :eek:
 
I think I might have another go at filing the bevels on the knife I am making, it is a 6" blade in 3/16", so it really makes me want a 2x72"!
 
Hopefully finishing up the 4 woodcrafters I heat treated yesterday. My wife just finished finals for the semester on thursday, so we're going to be having some relaxing time. If I'm *smart* I'll do a major shop cleaning. But then again, it's memorial day and I could keep the Navy tradition alive and get hammered.
 
Working on 4 customers knives and grinding on some of the knives I'm taking to my first custom knife show in September in Oklahoma City. This of course is after I get off of my regular job that is causing me to work parts of saturday, sunday, and all day monday.
