Hmmm it's supposed to be in the 60-70s, I've got 2 "Pocketknife" EDCs to finish and ship. A chef's knife to forge, a new design I want to forge. Hoping that my small belt order from Pop's comes in by Monday or Tuesday or I'll be draw filing. I'll probably forge a few EDCs for gifts too.

Y'all be safe and warm (where applicable) :D

Here wearing a sweater is more than enough, its been a hot but rainy season... These days I'm finishing my gift knives to mom and my girlfriend for new year, the knives turning out real good . Also I have to stitch some custom sheaths ordered. I really don't like making sheaths :barf: but I have to also earn some cash...

watching it rain, wondering when I'll have enough money to make the shop "real" again.

Excuse me, but- that damned eejit who drove through my shop undid a LOT of work. Okay, it's not a "real" shop, but I had a full roof, 3 side walls and an awning and the whole thing is pointless. dammit.

I think if I can swing it I'm going to build a shed roof shack out on the other side of the yard. Cost me 3x as much to make it modular, but we are renters....

Xmas knife is done, orders are coming along, but I have a feeling I'll be spending all weekend polishing.

Sorry Christof.... I really think her insurance should help pay for a "new" shop and your labor and some protective barriers.

I've been shopless before and it's a pretty bad feeling. If you can work on blades try designing them. It helps cure the itch somewhat.

oh, I've still got shop, just not as covered as it was...

They are sending some money my way, which will help. But it's hard to explain value of what amounts to a lean-to roof along a fence line.

Just finished up a 70 hour work week! I'm going to take a hot shower, nod out for about 7 hours , wake up clear about a foot of snow from my driveway and walks.
I got lucky and missed the bullet, we finished all the backlog of work so I'll have the weekend off.

I've going to slot & fit the guard on a utily knife I'm making for my nephew, so I'l get started on that after the snow thing. I just picked up some R8 collets form my mini mill, that should help with more accurate work. :D

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Family coming in for the holidays with the kids. My birthday is the December 23 and I think my wife is planning a surprise birthday party for me. But I will not hold my breath on it. But there's something going on. We our planning to go to the In-laws for Christmas Eve and be back here for Christmas Day. I did get most the shop cleanup and been helping out the wife with the house. Boy you would think the president of the United States was coming to our home. But that's family life I guess. I got all my Christmas shopping done and all underneath the tree. :D

Last week we that to take one of our sons up to the children's hospital and he was there for three days. It been a nightmare around here lately. I am happy to get all the orders done. Also, been on the phone with a professional photograph to do shootings of my work. Will be getting with him after the holidays. Hope you all are planning a great week-end as well. :)

Got lots of ham for sandwhiches :D

A new maker is coming over to do some forging and general knife talking. Got 2 sheaths to make so I can ship blades out Monday.

After all the Christmas mayhem Wednesday and Thursday, Friday Linda and I just relaxed most of the day. Worked on a couple of blade handles Friday evening. Today I'll take a ride to IG's and hang at his place for a few hours.

Hope you all had a great Christmas.

Got The BBBB Beaver, Ron, Paul and Gary coming over today. We will be doing up another canister billet and Gary will be working on the one he had made during the documentary.;):D

Nice younger man came by, we forged for about 5 hours or so. Hope he learned something... at the very least learned what not to do. :p He seemed very happy with the knife he forged, said it was the best he'd ever forged. That's the best part of teaching someone for me.

Working in the shop and cleaning up. Also, will be getting 5 knives ready for photo work on Monday. Sunday will setting back with the family. :)

I may be helping my brother and sister in law move into their house. He's ETSing from the Army.... got 1 knife I need to finish for a customer. Possibly redoing 2 sheaths for a customer and have 3 blades on the bench in a variety of states awaiting my loving touch.

I'll be trying to sew *panics and screams* I'm trying to re-tailor a sports coat to fit with a kilt to be more or less a braemar style kilt jacket. I have no formal jacket for wearing with my kilt and i'm going to a formal scotch tasting dinner in 2 weeks and burns night supper in 4, and need something formal... but i dont have the money to buy a new prince charlie or black argyle or braemar >_<
