Week-end Post, What Are You Doing

Saturday, will finish up a sheath for a customer knife and get it ready for shipping, and then clean up the homestead with Linda.

I've got to get all my cycle stuff (shovel head parts, IG doesn't have anything for me to bring, he needs all his cycle parts) ready for transportation to the Stafford Springs motor cycle flea market on Sunday where I'll be attending as a vendor along with my Brother Rob and a good friend. I won't be making it to the NCCA Marlborough show.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Finishing up the last EDK order. Hopefully finishing the golok. Hopefully finishing a knife to take to Batson's. Hopefully getting a few of these SFC done. I'm hoping it'll work out.

got 6 to cut out, got 2 sheaths to make, gonna give'r hell trying to forge a big ole somth'en or other:confused::eek:.

probably gonna play numerous games of candyland, and change a bunch of dirty diapers.

oh yeah, if my dang supplies ever come im gonna put handles on 2......

now , what i really get done will only be 1/3rd of this:(....if im lucky

I was going to be heat treating a few Bird & Trouts that I have ready. But now it seems that I will be taking the two little girls, 7 & 8, to the Cinderella ballet'. And of course that means going out for a new dress in the morning. Not something I really want to do, but when they look at me with those big blue eyes, I just can't say no. Ok so they have me wrapped. :) So maybe Sunday I can get them done.

I'm sure you'll look very pretty in it :D

My kid's maternal grandparents are coming to town, provided they can swim out of Fargo. So she'll be spoiled rotten all weekend. I have a date with my girlfriend for the steak'n'lobster special at a local place Saturday night. Yum!

Edit: just got my kid's Statewide Student Assessment results in the mail... once again she scored advanced in every single area! She's in the 95th percentile in reading, and 99% in science :) Guess she gets her brains from her mom :o The little goofball is pissed that she didn't do better

Sunday is the NCCA show. Today, I am experimenting with my smoker on a 9# fresh pork shoulder. It was only $.79 @ Lb.:thumbup: I may cook up 4 of these sucks for the Hammer In. Saturday, Jon is coming over and Ron. If any of you Bubbas want to come over and pig out on the pig, come on down. HEHEHEHEHE!!;):D

BBBB Beaver, look for Chuck Myles he deals in Indian parts. He is from Sloansville, NY.:D

My gal went out for lunch with some friends today and took one of my knives to show off to her step-brother and some guys at the bar. She just called and said it looks like I'll have a couple orders! Hopefully the price I quoted her doesn't scare them off  ($125 for a fairly standard hunting knife with oiled leather sheath... does that seem reasonable? If I charge any less I'm pretty much giving them away. I'm hoping folks will think the fit/finish and available options are worth it.) She rocks :D

Wa..Wa..Wally, I'll look for Chuck. I've got 5 knives I'm going to take also. Maybe I'll get some yuppie biker to buy that 120 layer ladder pattern damascus (pallet strap & band saw blade) fighter (for $300) I made with the anchor chain wrought iron (S guard, pommel, pommel nut) and the stabalized elk antler (handle) hardware that I got from you. :D

Had my impacted wisdom teeth removed this morning. Working on rehabbing an old kitchen knife for my grandfather if pain permits.

It will be one of my first projects!

Finished up a few sheaths tonight. I be in Smyrna, TN at gun show all weekend. I be talking knives all weekend. I know it dirty job by someone has to do it.

Tonight, Linda and I will be going out with Kook and Marleen to celebrate Kook's 61st BD. I got him a warthog tusk from IG and IG also donated a block of stabalized mesquete as a BD present for Kook.

This is a working weekend for me. I'm going to catch up on all my reports from last weeks customer visits, then pack tonight. I'm flying to Dallas tomorrow for two days of meetings. I won't even have time in Dallas to hook up with my brother, who lives there. No knife related activities in the shop this weekend.

Wondering if I've made a nice button of steel or a silly paper weight!!!

Raining tomorrow, might have to wait a day or 2 as the powerhammer is outside.....

Much energy will be expended deciding this.

Most likely work whole unless it seems impossible!

I'm hoping the dies for my big power hammer will arrive in the next day or so, they had to have custom dovetails cut. If not I'll be using my smaller air hammer and this size will be difficult at very least.

We make swords so the bigger the better!
