Week-end Post, What Are You Doing

seting up a new sander a 4X36. For thining down my handles. Works great. Saturday. Sunday will be with family. Still waiting on my new wheels for my 6.18 suface grinder. Pink and a white. 12X1X3. That all for me on this week-end. HOW ABOUT YOU?

Spent a few hours at IG's BS'ing with Jim Siska, Gary (Wolf), Justine, and of course Wa..Wa..Wally AKA IG :D . I tweeked a bend out of a blade I'm working on. Now I can finish grinding the blade without loosing and blade length.

I'm gonna jump ahead a week. Next Saturday, Mike Spangler, his brother-in-law and I will drive to Mace's house and help him and Aldo Bruno rebuild Mace's 50# Little Giant  that will be most cool :D

Well, I spent most of today wasting sandpaper on my disc sander chasing mistakes on a hidden tang bowie. After a while I got pissed and started profiling a tactical tanto with skullcrusher on the back. The garage is so DAMN hot, even with a high velocity 24" fan. Pulled a vacuum on some more live oak pieces too. Tomorrow I am gonna go shoot the 375. I might be able to shoot more than 5 or 6 an hour using compressed CO2 to cool the barrel in between shots. Gotta be careful, do not want to make the barrel "cold". Just cool to the touch. Also working on gettin cartridge drawings for a wildcat based on the 375 RUM brass, blown out to hold 500 S&W bullets. Think better than 50-110 performance in a bolt rifle. Maybe 70-80% of a 500 Jeffery.

Larry, next weekend... make sure someone takes pictures !! <3 power hammers and that's going to be a neat project.

Hey!!!! BBBB Beaver !!!! George Dailey was here too.:D

Well its Friday the 13th and its been a great day here in the shop. I just setup the new surface ginder wheels and grind one knife out and its looks great. Satuday and Sunday will be a busy day as well. Family all getting together about 30 people. Boy the house will look like hell here by the end of the day on Sunday. But thats family. How about all of you. ---------

Finally get to hang out with that 19yr old girl, Nicole, that I mentioned about a month ago. About to get ready and give her a call to see if she is awake. She has to leave at noon to goto work so it will only be for a couple of hours. Even tho I barely know her I want to get to know her a lot better. I have never felt this way before but something about her makes me want to quit smoking and be an even better man. Did I ever mention that she is also a knife lover? :D She also wants to become a veterinarian technician. Then later today I'll pack up and head back to moms for a few days and help her out around the house and finish the master bath. Other than that I have no idea what im doing this weekend.

It has been a cold wet summer so far, and the weekend will be no different. This gives me the opportunity to pile up firewood for the winter that was bucked up and split last fall. If it rains then I will be finishing up two small game hunters, and catch up on some leather sheath work.

Well, last Friday I left a couple of samples, one bandsaw, and one pallet strap with the head of the MET lab at work. Don't know when the analysis will be complete, but, once it is we'll have a better understanding on heat treat times and temps  . Also the compatabiliby of these two metals

Saturday, Mike Spangler, his brother-in-law Paul, Bill, Aldo, Mace and myself, worked on Mace's 50# Little Giant.

So far a very cool weekend. Maybe today my Honey and I will take a nice cycle ride, as the weather is fantastic

Be sure and go by IG's and give him a hard time. :D Maybe even prank him. Or just toilet paper his shop. :D  IG if your reading this it was his idea. :D :foot: :foot:

Lets see gutters over the shop, done, clean up yard done, go to Highland games and look over dirks and daggers done. Go back to shop and start a couple nice dirks and daggers is what I am going to do. Enjoy you guys.

well, just got done with one customers package, a little larger Knife than one
he bought from me a few years ago but mostly the same. 1" longer in both directions..

need to finish a handle on a chopper still,
and should set the teeth on 14 survival knives and then call it a weekend..

then I'll take a couple days down time to recoup  RIGHT I can see it all now..:)

Well today I helped my aunt load some miscellaneous lumber from my grandpas shop into the back of her Saturn SUV so that she could take it to be identified by some wood carvers in Nacogdoches, Texas. Turns out some of the wood that my grandpa had was outlawed to be imported into the states years ago. I'll try to get a list of the wood and see if yall want any of it. I also installed a porch light my mom found in a garage sale for $3 and i just had to repaint it because it had white paint on it from when the owners had painted their house. The light was originally a flat black. I figured sanding it down and painting it with hi temp flat black paint would work. :D Looks great. Tomorrow I have court for a traffic accident where I rear-ended a lady 4 years ago in April and shes trying to get more money even tho my insurance company offered her a hefty sum. I only hit her little Kia Optima going about 5mph and dented in her bumper a little with my '83 Ford F150. Did I mention she stopped at a green light for no reason at all? :D  :foot: I'll let yall know how it goes. At least mom is happy about the work I did today. Still need to refinish and patch a few holes in the porch ceiling.

 Here it is Friday the 20th. I will be working out in the shop all week-end long. I will also be doing the yard to. Have family still in from Ohio. What a week its been with the small kids. I am going Nuts. "HELP" LET ME OUT OF HERE------
