What did you rehang today?

Great work JB! I don't know more than what Google searches return on Warwood but I have a couple of their tools. The Warwood grub hoe I have has been used many times and it seems to ignore rocks pretty well without leaving damage to the tool.

Nice warm color on both those handles. That hammer looks like it would be great at knocking metal into place.

Ultrahesh that is a terrific looking tool! Bevels and that handle make for a real classy look.

I would imagine that to be a great in hand and eat fast. Looks very well hung.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I think this one turned out good and is worthy of the keeper/user pile

Nice job

Would you call that a bowtie wedge? :D

Hi, this was my first attempt at making a haft from scratch. It was a challenge especially fitting that tiny 3/8" X 7/8" eye on this mini, but it was a lot of fun too. The edge was banged up pretty good so it had to be filed back, requiring a major reprofile. Always wanted one of these and I use all my axes/hatchets, but I'm not sure what I will use it for, maybe pruning, carving or parting out chickens. I made mistakes along the way, but I really enjoyed the challenge. The wood I used was a five quarter piece of curly maple that a friend gave me a while back. Thanks for looking! S W

And so you should! You did a wonderful job of this. Sincerely pray that lovely-figured piece of wood didn't originate from 'under the table' out in Square_Peg's neck of the woods.

Did this last year and this was the axe that started the axe refurbing hobby. It's is a brades axe head which was in bad condition (no before photos I'm afraid) so I had to get the grinder to it and need up with this finish.. Looks nice but rusts very easily. Unfortunately I've yet to find a decent axe handle company here in the UK so I have a faithful tools handle on it but because the eye was so wide, I had to fit their largest which was way to big to go through the eye hence the large shoulder on it! It's a really nice axe to use. If anyone in the UK knows of a good place to get their handles from, please let me know.
