Man you are bringin the Fancy today, Paul. I hope you have a user on you for the dirty work.
I "liked" this, but...

Confession is good for the soul, Mike

“What happens in a dream stays in a dream” does not always apply!
Another one from Stan Buzek for this evening's walk with the dogs. Love the jigging on this one...
And, here's this evening's visitor...
Your knife is a 10, which goes along with the ten point buck. It looks like his velvet is beginning to shed.
Thanks Bart, but it's the way it is - my job is seasonal so I gotta make hay now, don't want to go all winter hungry. Speaking of, your cows are looking mighty fine, I'd love to have one in my freezer. You trade for fixed blades? Glad to hear your boy's wrist ought to heal up. It would be cooler if he'd done it skating though.
Jeff, I sure appreciate that sentiment and there's nothing my boy would love more. Luckily we won't have to worry about cleaning/cooking the fish because I never catch any. I do love a little belt knife - half the time I need a knife I'm holding something in my other hand already so the easy access is nice. Your beans are looking mighty fine, I do think the red veins are quite attractive. Do those taste different than the solid greens, or is this just bean vanity?
Happy WW Porch! This 38 is a joy in the pocket, and easy on the eyes. Did you guys know I'm obsessed with weight, and know the weight of all my knives? 2.1 oz for the 38 and 2.3 for the Fox River Featherweight.
Great post, Fred!
I agree with thinking about maybe a half of a steer in the freezer. But I don’t think Bart would take any of my users in trade.
Oh~ I try not to worry about weight!

Bob is one of those fine human beings who gets pleasure out of giving. And he has an uncanny ability to fit the gift to the recipient.
These 2 today : 2019 Forums Knife and TEW Lambfoot
SWMBO wanted me to get a photo of this Yellow flower that is in the same pot as her Red ones and wanted to know how it got there .

Love this pair, my Wisconsin Pal!
Blame the chipmunks.
On my vast and pastoral estate, the chipmunks plant sunflowers, the tree rats plant tree nuts, and the birds plant mulberry seeds.
Looks like a seed from the Black Oil Sunflower took root, probably transplanted by one of the local critters or birds that dropped it. Happens here to me every single year
I think you nailed it.
Ironically, the chipmunk planted sunflowers often do better than the ones I plant.
Long time since last posting, hello again.
Post more often! Dig the friction folder.
Finally, a day without humidity!
I hope all have a good day. Etching delete.

Bunny Defaced!

I’m probably going to let mine wear off naturally, but I’d better use it more often.
1970s (ish) Boker sheepsfoot Barlow. It was a rustball and I figured it would either clean up well or I could tear it apart and play around with it. Blades were pretty full and nothing looked too bad.
A little steel wool, some brass brushes and a lot of oil later and it looks pretty good. Great action too. Underbladed with half stops but spring is flush with the liner in all positions. Well made. I'll throw it in the rotation!
Oddly top heavy because of those giant steel bolsters, though!

Love it! Finding a knife like that, especially within my humble budget, and bringing it back to life is a real pleasure.
Wait. It’s still only August!
Looks like a Voos!
Oooh! The smallest Schrade Serpentine Jack! Capable little knife, JB!
I had this down on the bench for a number of months, waiting to give it a spa day. Been out of circulation way too long, so I put it back together last night, and in the pocket today!
