What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I have just bought a knife today, the first in a long, long time. A Marbles sowbelly stockman in D2 and black Micarta. £24 i could not believe it.

An excellent knife. I have one of those.

The Marbles brand is currently owned by SMKW. The knives are made in China.
Not sure where the axes, hatchets, and machettes are made. El Salvador, maybe? I'm pretty sure they are contact made by one of the major South American axe and machette manufacturers.

The Marbles Company of Gladstone, MI. went under decades ago.

(daRnnit!!! I'd to get a Marbles medium and long range ladder peep sight, and a globe front sight with inserts for my Thompson Center factory big bore .54 caliber Hawkin rifle. )

Finding a good sheath is harder than finding a good fixed blade, in my experience. Yours came out great! I need to learn to make my own.

Paul, is the Sears ebony or cocobolo. So much of the old coco turns purple black.

It's Cocobolo, I'd venture. Look at the large open pores.
