Thanks Mike, thanks Bosse.

Yeah, thats a Western made BSA sheath knife, probably from the 60's. BSA Model No. 1381, 4" blade 7.75" overall.

Today I went for this Schrade, haven't carried it for quite some time.

Very cool. I like the old Westerns, great knives. I don't have any Boy Scout versions, but have a few with the faux bone scales and a couple West-Cut knives with leather... For some reason I really like them.

You can't go wrong with the old Schrade hunters. They are a very solid knife.

For the past few weeks, this pair,is un stop - able

I like the looks of that one, scales and shield are sweetness!

Camping out...just an over-nighter fishing thing and thought I'd go with this one...gotta admit I was a bit influenced:D

I had a Jot Khalsa small subhilt he made for me in white micarta. It turned yellow in layers. I thought it was a normal thing for that particular color. I thought it gave it more character as it aged.

It is,on that knife,Westinghouse Ivory paper micarta. The "graining",that seems to be getting more pronounced with age,is orange - ish
Maybe someone knows something ?
I see it every day,so its like a kid growing, others who don't see them often, notice the change (size) moreso, than the parents

Figured I could contribute something here for a first time. Today found these two in my pockets. My newly acquired GEC Barlow in burnt orange bone, and I have to admit for myself, I like the size of GEC's Barlows.

Second is this Chicago Cutlery serpentine(?) of some sort that was my late Grandfathers. Its been well used as you can see from the main blade, not sure of the wood for the scales, maybe walnut . I haven't seen too many Chicago cutlery slippies in my searches so I don't know much about it.

That Chicago Cutlery has alot of life left in it. You are fortunate to have such a nice knife from your Grandfather. Thanks for sharing.

I had an Al mar that did the same thing too. That one I really wish I had kept. A big folder with a long bolster in brass and finger grooves.
