Funny @BuzzbaitNow that's a beautiful combo.

Nice Dean !
Half/Stop, tough one last night for the Preds, and on home turf too. But as we were fond of saying of the Chicago Cubs back in the day, there's always next year! (Often began that mantra about 5 games into the season.)
Back with my big blue Barlow from NW today. Its one downside is it's pull: it takes an authoritative action to avoid getting stuck halfway and looking like a dweeb, and hope your fingers aren't wet. I'm loath to try relieving the backspring however.
Tom, I think the experiment is successful; both photos look great to me!You're turning into quite the knife scientist lately, with your trial of a new sharpening method and your light tent experiment!
Can we expect to see a photo of the light tent, or is that too self-referential??
What are the pros and cons of your light set-up as you currently see them?

It's 91 outside and since I don't have to go anywhere, I'm not. AC is on, ceiling fans are running and I'm hanging out in my cave with my Trapper in my pocket.
Stay cool folks!

Jack, tasty and healthy, but today it's only half of that equation, fried chicken for lunch.![]()
Jack & Tom & Dan & Ron, thanks for the kind words/punsabout the photo of my Buck toothpick. That's an old pic taken on vacation last summer at the Lower Falls on the Tahquamenon River in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Looking forward to heading up to that area again in less then 2 months!

I, too, thought duck-lipped selfies were silly, since I have little use for "fads" that have no rationale. But while Skypeing with my daughter in Spain yesterday, I asked her why everyone did such a silly thing, and she demonstrated how that pose "accentuates and improves" one's cheekbones! So I guess I'm OK with it after all, since there's a good reason for doing it!

I'm really enjoying your recent lambsfoot and pen knife series, Jack!!

It's a video link, something we can now do using the media option here on the forum. Id love to see your trips in video. There has to be a way of attaching a pic to the link though, just havent figured it out. (The video option would certainly bring the 'mugshot' and 'did you knife get a workout' thread to life.
