Vic Cadet in black.
That Cadet in basic black is a peach, Dean.

(I have a black Pioneer and a red Cadet; I ought to get each of them color-matched partners - a black Cadet and a red Pioneer or Farmer.

)
Those are funky blue handles on your high, Jak3!
Thanks GT! I'd be a little embarrassed to share pics of the light tent, as it is a rather plebeian effort. It consists entirely of a cardboard box, paper towels, and a $5 LED light

.
Not a lot of cons, it took maybe 5 minutes to make it. Pros: softens the light so no harsh glare, it is repeatable, negates any reflections you don't want, and I think it will be fun to experiment with different materials to place under the knives. Send me a PM (or anyone else) if you're interested and I'll get some photos for you.
Great Colonial

...
Thanks for the info, Tom, and for the compliment on my first knife ever.

I'll probably send you a PM request soon for some pics of your light tent. During the summer, I can do OK with taking my photos outside (although I'm apparently unable to control reflections

). But I'm always looking for a set-up that will allow me to take decent indoor shots during the winter.
A 1965-1969 CASE #6232 in AWESOME CASE redbone. Solid blades, both centered in the wells. I'm amazed at how so many remain so well preserved

Incredible knife, Paul!!

(I'm amazed that you think there are so many good specimens "out there" for the finding!

)
A little cornhole w/ my sister and brother in law at the Sierra Nevada brewery in Mills River, NC. She beat me bad.
Brett, I'm enjoying (in several threads) what I think are vacation shots from you!

But I gotta tell you, I was somewhat disillusioned to find out there's a Sierra Nevada Brewery in NC - I thought it was pure California Dreaming all the way!

That ironwood recover Glenn did is awesome!

View attachment 719792 Great photos from one and all. This spear TC is with me today. MJ.
That's a very distinguished, sleek, slender spearpoint black TC, MJ71!!

Hope you have a great time GT

Three great choices there my friend

Carrying these two today, Arthur Wright Lambsfoot and a TEW Penknife. The background to the Lambsfoot shows the weir of Sheffield's famous Mousehole Forge
Another splendid pairing, Jack!

Thanks for the kind words about my knives and vacation anticipation!
... so, one of the practical upsides to posting in this thread is that when you lose a knife, you have a record of the last time you carried it. I know I had my cat on Friday after work.
W.M.B., I hope you can find your lost Black Cat soon!

That's a nice looking sodbuster!

My eyes aren't anywhere near what they used to be (and I got glasses in first grade

), but is the shield "German Bull"?

Some green ALOX for me today.
I admire the variety of Alox you have, Tom!

A.G. Russell Premium Scout today, in 154CM
stainless steel.
I read (and sympathize with, to a certain extent) your rant about carbon steel, but your bold-faced "stainless steel" made me laugh, Buzz!

That Russell Premium Scout sure is a beauty, though.

Is that model a bit shorter than a "standard" scout?
Thanks Gev. I always appreciate your thoughtful posts. I've got one room in our house that I can call my own. My better half has the rest! Works for me.
Sounds good, Gary!

I'm hoping to get a room for me when I retire!!
Couple of classic and classy knives, Nate!

(2) - Arms for TC Tuesday.
Striking Twin Charlows, Dee!

(Fraternal twins, rather than identical, I suppose.)
GT, that's really quite touching!

...
Thanks, Tom; there were several folks here doing something similar!

Recycled photo, but I like the blue glass bits in the setting.

(That's a reflection on the tip, not patina.)
Superb photo!

You carry a lot of steel in that knife!
