What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

In addition to the Camillus 69 and the 3ot, a Case 9233 because why not at that size, and by the end of the day a tiny Volunteer multiblade and a Parker Japan 1982 World's Fair.

I just checked the bay. Looks like I can go ahead and sharpen the Parker World's Fair knife. They've sold for anything down to $0.99.

Bad connection so I cant download a picture. We came up north to celebrate the midsummers eve at the childhood home of a friend. Many years ago, must be almost 30, I had given her father a Roselli hunter knife. They lived on a farm in the middle of the forest. This man is now dead, but I found this knife hanging on the wall. It had a new sheath, better than the original. The knife looked very used.

I met this man on several occasions. A very jovial guy, allways friendly. His wife still lives in the house. A hardworking couple who raised 3 children. He lost when young one eye and several fingers when came across a wartime mine. Still he was very handy with both chainsaw and rifle. First gave the family money, the second meat, moose and birds.

Somehow seeing the knife moved me. This kind of men are rare these days. I'm happy I knew him.

Love that story!! I agree; it’s hard to find those kind of guys these days.

Inspired by @5K Qs , I'm totin' a jiggedity pig-gity today.

(Apologies to the moderators, I usually resize my pictures on Imgur before posting, but that editing function isn't working for me on their site today.)

I understand the feeling. I wish I could find a chestnut bone, square-bolstered, medium stockman with a punch in place of the pen. I like that Girl Scout knife. My niece entered the Brownies recently, so I’m now on the lookout for one.

I’ve got this Camillus EO jack with me today.

Is it perspective, is the knife really small, or is that ant HUGE?

And is that a fire ant?

Great little Barlow on a really cool backdrop, Harry.

It seems increasingly rare to see such a full blade on one of those old Cami EOs. NICE!

Hey- if you're willing to forego the square Stockman bolsters, and go a bit more vintage, there are a lot of older Cattle knives around on which the awl was pretty common. They are extremely handy.
