What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Guys, I was at one of the most beautiful places on this earth and took a bunch of photos. But not once did I pull out my knife for a photo shoot, so here's what I had.

Thanks, GT! Really nice handles on the sow belly!!!

Is it perspective, is the knife really small, or is that ant HUGE?

And is that a fire ant?

Great little Barlow on a really cool backdrop, Harry.

It seems increasingly rare to see such a full blade on one of those old Cami EOs. NICE!

Hey- if you're willing to forego the square Stockman bolsters, and go a bit more vintage, there are a lot of older Cattle knives around on which the awl was pretty common. They are extremely handy.

Thanks for the compliment, and the info! I’ll have to keep a lookout for an old cattle knife. Is there any old brand you prefer? Camillus? Schrade? Robeson?

Nice knife, Jack!:cool::thumbsup: When your home is where the buffalo roam, a discouraging word is seldom heard! ;)

LOL! Thanks Gary, very good! :) :D It's always a treat to see your Girl Scout, and those are a nice pair of Rough Riders (I have the Sowbelly)

Ace Aitor pic Gev :)

I need to get around to carrying my 2018 Horn as well. A beautiful knife, for sure, but I do think the 2018 Ebony stole the show.

I know what you mean Dylan, I'm finding it hard not to pocket my ebony too ;) :thumbsup

Good-looking combination Rachel

I'm treating myself again...;)

You should check out the thread about Cattle knives. Pretty sure everybody made one during their heydays.

I only have one oldie, it’s tang stamped
“HIGH CARBON”, and was made by Camillus for Sears.

If I had your money to spend, :D, I’d also be looking for a cattle/stock or harness jack from GEC.

Couple of Cases today - Moose, and Radio Electrician Jack. And yes - it’s still raining!

I like your theme and those fine old knives, r8shell!
I'll join in the fun and carry these today, although yours really look more like piano keys then mine. This is an old pic. My cherry tomatoes are still green.

That's a beautiful combo!
Nice old jacks, Rachel!
“ THE NB KNIFE” is not familiar to me. Any info on that brand?
Thanks! It's by New Britain Knife Co. 1910-1930, I believe. I'm always looking for 100 year old bareheaded jacks, and I was excited to find an obscure stamp like this. :)
